DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 3-3 WAWRINKA. Stan is still landing some lush backhand winners but he misfires at the end of a pulsating rally to let Djoker level with a hold to 30. Is the tide turning after Stan had looked on fire just three games ago?

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 2-3 WAWRINKA. Once again Stan's serve is pushed to deuce. He saves a 13th BP on his serve in this match, but finally cracks for the third time on the 14th as Wawrinka's crosscourt forehand snags the net and bobbles back onto his side of the court. Djoker has appeared exasperated at times and far from happy, but he's dragged himself back into this in typical fashion.

DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 1-3 WAWRINKA. Novak gets himself out of a sticky situation at 0-30 to reel off four points and get on the board. He came into the net with great effect there.

Novak just two from 12 in terms of converting his BPs.

DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 0-3 WAWRINKA. Stanimal is like a dog with a bone when faced with dropping serve, he's just refusing to give it up. Novak has a 12th BP of the match, but again fails to convert. Wawrinka digs himself out of the hole form deuce once more, lashing a winning backhand pass beyond the stunned Serb after he had bossed what proved to be the concluding rally of the game. At the moment, the Swiss looks like repeating his heroics at Roland Garros last year. Djokovic uncharacteristically ranting at his box.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 0-2 WAWRINKA. Devastating for Novak. After going so close to an early break - he's undone by a combination of his own mental fragility at the moment and some wonderful shot-making form his opponent. At 30-0 he looks clam but allows Wawrinka back in. A sublime pass with the Serb at the net chalks up a BP that he converts when Nole gets desperate with an ill-conceived serve and volley combo.
-
DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 0-1 WAWRINKA. That could be HUGE in the context of this match. Wawrinka fizzes down an ace to take it from an epic deuce after Nole had seen another three break opportunities go begging. Some brave hitting from the Swiss but Novak must be so frustrated by his low conversion rate of BPs.

Many lauding the quality of the tennis and Stan's recovery. Others have a different take ...

SET! - DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-6 WAWRINKA. It's one apiece! Wawrinka stuns the Djoker with another superb return game to crucially break. The Swiss claims two BPs with a quite wonderful winner down the line and rejoices on the second when the world number one cracks a crosscourt attempt into the ally.

Put your hands together.

DJOKOVIC 7-6 4-5 WAWRINKA. Just what the doctor ordered. Stan has his serving mojo back and secures the love hold. That precious break has gone but he still has the scoreboard advantage as we enter the business end of the set.

Can't argue so far.
