BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-3 2-1 DEL POTRO. This pressure is becoming relentless. Delpo needs a huge serve just to lead 30-15, but is soon facing another break point when he blazes a blistering forehand long. The Argentine then scoops horribly long as he tries to back pedal to the baseline. Huge advantage to Novak now.
DJOKOVIC 6-3 1-1 DEL POTRO. Tennis is often a game of shifting momentum, but how Delpo needs a swing in his direction soon. The No.3 seed is struggling to put Djokovic under any serious pressure. At 40-15 down he surges into the net but is easily passed by the Serb who seems to be seeing the ball like a giant football right now.
DJOKOVIC 6-3 0-1 DEL POTRO. That's a massive hold for the Argentine. He nails a big forehand and a second ace to hit back from 0-30, but then Novak digs in with some sublime returning to make deuce. The Serb slides a backhand up the line for a break opportunity but then blows it with an uncharacteristic miss off the same flank. Del Potro saves another break point and finally lands a big serve and forehand to earn some cheaper, faster points and drag himself over the line. If he somehow goes on to turn the tide and win this match, this could be a game he looks back on as one of great significance.

SET! - DJOKOVIC 6-3 DEL POTRO. The No.6 seed from Serbia strikes first blood after 42 minutes as he keeps Delpo's bid to bite straight back at bay by serving out to 30. Djoker had to be patient and defend strong from baseline, but he got the job done and looks strong. That's a big blow for Delpo who knows the first set was important for his belief.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 5-3 DEL POTRO. A first ace of the match puts Delpo firmly in control at 40-0, but some wayward shots off the forehand and some outrageous Djoker defence sees the Serb take five points in a row and claim the first break of the match at the first time of asking. He will now serve for the set.
DJOKOVIC 4-3 DEL POTRO. Nole edges his nose in front once more. The serving has been superb from both players so far and Delpo can't make any impression this time as the 13-time Grand Slam winner chalks up the love hold.
DJOKOVIC 3-3 DEL POTRO. All square as Delpo overcomes an early glitch on the forehand to thunder his way through another hold for the loss of one point. Plenty to enjoy and admire so far, but we are still waiting for the first moment of significance in this final.
DJOKOVIC 3-2 DEL POTRO. Juan Martin just misses with a forehand attempt at 15-15 and from there Novak finds some big serves, finishing off the game with a crisp crosscourt forehand winner. It's been top-class tennis so far from both players.
DJOKOVIC 2-2 DEL POTRO. Delpo has brought the heat right from the off here. He does some real damage with the forehand before claiming a comfortable hold to 15 with a sweet backhand winner.
DJOKOVIC 2-1 DEL POTRO. The Argentine builds some momentum at 0-30 but then comes unstuck with a pair of errors off his less convincing backhand side. Djoker moves ahead with a crosscourt forehand but Delpo responds in the same vein - AND interest to make deuce. A lengthy rally then goes the way of the Serb, who manages to dig out the hold as Delpo's tendency to slice off his backhand does him no favours.
Indeed.
DJOKOVIC 1-1 DEL POTRO. Juan Martin makes a blistering start. He lands some big first serves and unloads that trusty forehand as he cruises to a love hold. He'll need to maintain that sort of consistency all night if he's going to upset Novak.
Delpo's has been slightly trickier, but he was no doubt helped by Nadal's early retirement from their semi final match. Those two have slugged it out for hours in their most recent meetings.
Personally feel that Djokovic has had a very kind draw from round one to tonight.
DJOKOVIC 1-0 DEL POTRO. The majority of the crowd are rooting for Delpo. It's a fact somewhat emphasised by the cheer of delight when Nole misfires off the forehand in the opening the point. Not that it ruffles the feathers of the Serb though as he motors back to ease to a hold to 30 to open.
