CILIC 1-1 DE MINAUR* (4-6): Cilic brings up a break point on the young Australian's serve, but De Minaur keeps his cool to level things up early on in the second set.

DE MINAUR WINS THE FIRST SET 6-4! Is this another upset brewing on Louis Armstrong? De Minaur sees out the set with an ace and that sums up how emphatic he has been. Cilic is making too many unforced errors.

*CILIC 4-5 DE MINAUR: Well, there's no doubt who the New York crowd are backing. De Minaur has their support, but Cilic holds to keep the first set alive.

CILIC 3-5 DE MINAUR*: A rallying cry from De Minaur as he holds serve to consolidate the break! The Australian is a game away from taking the opening set.

*CILIC 3-4 DE MINAUR: There we go! The first break of serve of the match and it goes the way of De Minaur! Is another big seed about to all on Louis Armsrtong! Still early.

CILIC 3-3 DE MINAUR*: This is very impressive from the young Aussie. It takes a lot to out-hit Cilic from the baseline, but that's what De Minaur is doing, at least on his own serve.

*CILIC 3-2 DE MINAUR: Good serving from Cilic sees him get through the service game, holding. It's still very humid in New York, even at this time of night.

*CILIC 2-1 DE MINAUR: An immediate response from De Minaur. The teenager is doing quite well in absorbing the power coming at him from the other side of the court.

CILIC 2-0 DE MINAUR*: Some big hitting from both men, with the Australian on the defence on his own serve. Cilic makes the first breakthrough and has a 2-0 lead.

*CILIC 1-0 DE MINAUR: It's a hold of serve for the Croatian, but not before the Australian has had a look at the game. This bodes well for the competitiveness of this match.
