JABEUR 5-4 TOMLJANOVIC
Close call!
Ons earns herself a set point with a raking backhand up the line but then slices an inch wide to let Tomljanovic off the hook.
The Australian doubles down from there and Jabeur will have to serve for the set.

JABEUR 5-3 TOMLJANOVIC
When Jabeur gets into her groove in the rallies she’s dragging Ajla all over the place. The Tunisian continues to miss the first serve more than she’d like, but it doesn’t stop her from consolidating and she moves to within a game of taking the first set.

BREAK! – JABEUR 4-3 TOMLJANOVIC
How’s your luck?
Ajla doesn’t see the funny side despite Ons’ sheepish grin after the Tunisian’s improvised flick of the wrist sees her lob her opponent. It secures another break for the No.5 seed after her initial, sloppy attempt at the pass had been block volleyed towards her feet.

BREAK! – JABEUR 3-3 TOMLJANOVIC
And just like that, Tomljanovic levels.
The Aussie doesn’t have to do too much as her opponent fluffs her lines with a couple of double faults and two failures going for winners via the forehand.

JABEUR 3-2 TOMLJANOVIC
Tomljanovic does well to put the brakes on the Ons express as the Tunisian threatens to runaway with it.
The Wimbledon finalist’s eyes light up when her opponent double faults for 0-30 but she then blows a forehand that would have clocked up triple break point.
Ajla seizes upon the reprieve and reels off four points on the spin to stay firmly in touch.

JABEUR 3-1 TOMLJANOVIC
This is a super slick opening from the No.5 seed.
She’s got some real venom on that serve at the moment, a fact exemplified when she crashes down an ace and a service winner to consolidate with aplomb.

BREAK! – JABEUR 2-1 TOMLJANOVIC
Ons makes the first move!
The Tunisian hits back from 30-0 down when the Aussie misses a make-able backhand, slapping away a volley to apply some heat.
Tomljanovic gets careless with the double fault and can’t defend the break point as she fails with a tight backhand.

JABEUR 1-1 TOMLJANOVIC
Jabeur follows suit, dropping just the one point as she holds despite a lack of first serves.
20.23
JABEUR 0-1 TOMLJANOVIC
This could be a fun watch. It’s usually the case when Ons Jabeur is involved and it’s going to be very interesting to see how she counteracts Tomljanovic’s laser-like hitting from the baseline, particularly if the world No.46 gets near the heights of when she downed Serena Williams.
The Aussie dominates her opening service game and chalks up a neat hold to 15.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! – RUUD 6-1 6-4 7-6 BERRETTINI
Casper Ruud clinches the tie-break 7-4 on his third match point and moves into a Grand Slam semi-final for the second time in his career.
The Norwegian was in scintillating form for almost two sets but needed to dig deep to survive his own lull and Matteo’s improvement to prevail in two hours and 35 minutes.
The No.5 seed keeps his hopes of leaving New York as the World No.1 alive and will now meet Nick Kyrgios or Karen Khachanov in the last four.

TIE-BREAK LATEST – RUUD ON COURSE FOR VICTORY...
The Norwegian roars out of the traps, crunching his forehand with power and depth. It sees him sail into a 3-0 lead and Berrettini struggles to cope with it.
The Italian hooks a wayward backhand wide but then gets a lifeline when Ruud's forehand finally lets him down.
It's 4-2 to Casper at the change of ends.

RUUD 6-1 6-4 6-6 BERRETTINI
Ruud makes life difficult for himself when he fails with a surprise serve and volley at 30-15. Berrettini has a chance at making the forehand up the line in the next point but slaps it into the net. Ruud escapes from there and we will indeed have a tie break.
