We all knew this would be the quarter-final: it was obvious Muller would beat Nadal, while Cilic is seeded to get beaten here. I'm buying the longest rally at four strokes.

Muller, clad once more in head to toe Sergio Tacchini, makes little impression on Cilic's serve, though the backhand smash which clinches the game is very nice indeed.

If Muller plays as well as he did against Nadal, Cilic will have a problem. What we'll find out is whether Muller is genuinely on an upswing, or if Monday was the best day of his career.
