BREAK! - FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 5-4 NISHIKORI. This time Federer makes it count! He stays patient on the second of two break points and eventually lures the error long from a weary-looking opponent. Federer will now serve for a 100th singles win at Wimbledon and a place in the semi finals.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 4-4 NISHIKORI. Kei bows his head and puffs out his cheeks in frustration. He sizzles a backhand just long of the baseline at 30-30 and with it goes a rare chance to apply some pressure. All square.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 3-4 NISHIKORI. Nishikori coughs up a first double fault of the match for 30-30, but plays another service game with real guts under pressure. He edges back in front.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 3-3 NISHIKORI. The pattern has pretty much been the same since Set 1 concluded. Federer is causing havoc on the return and easing through his own service games. Kei is doing his best to battle on, but unless he finds something special to swing the pendulum his way, there's only going to be one winner.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 2-3 NISHIKORI. Federer pulls off a wonderful backhand winner on the run - but in the end he's left frustrated as Kei saves two more break points before coming through from deuce.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 2-2 NISHIKORI. Federer reels off another ruthless hold, concluding a game to 15 with another ace.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 1-2 NISHIKORI. Another opportunity for Federer, but Nishikori refuses to budge and nicks it from deuce to keep his nose in front in Set 4.

FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 1-1 NISHIKORI. Better from Nishikori as he makes Federer think on serve at 30-30, but the Swiss refuses to give him any hope and slams the door shut to level.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 6-4 0-1 NISHIKORI. Hard to see Kei taking this to a decider at this juncture, but if he is going to then he needs to serve well. He's still struggling when Federer nibbles at the second serve, but he again manages to produce the goods under pressure. He saves another break point and drags himself over the line to hold.

FEDERER 4-6 6-1 5-4 NISHIKORI. That's the most routine hold for Kei in quite some time. He takes the game to 15, but RF will now serve for the set.

BREAK! - FEDERER 4-6 6-1 4-3 NISHIKORI. It's deja vu at 15-30, but this time Federer takes a step forward and crunches a wonderful return to earn two bites at the break. Nisihkori outlasts the Swiss in a bruising rally before landing an ace to save both. Federer can't make anything of a third opportunity but finally gets what he's been threatening as a sizzling backhand down the line helps unlock Kei's defences.
FEDERER 4-6 6-1 3-3 NISHIKORI. Federer enjoying plenty of cheap points on serve. It's a real contrast to Kei's and sees him breeze level once again.

FEDERER 4-6 6-1 2-2 NISHIKORI. Routine stuff once more for 20-time major champion. Kei lashes a forehand long once more at 30-15 and from there Fed races clear.
