Federer will serve first.
Nishikori: "“I’m sure that I have to play good tennis to beat Roger, because he’s the best player on the grass. I think he seems to be playing good this week, last two weeks so I’m happy to be playing Roger now because I think I’m in good shape now. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I will enjoy for sure.”

Federer: “I think it’s going to be tough. He’s getting into quarters with a lot of energy. I remember some of the slams recently he arrived into the later stages of slams with maybe some tough matches going into it. So far it’s been really easy for him. I think he’s ready. I’m a big fan of his game. I think he’s got one of the best backhands in the game that we have right now."

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Federer leads the match-up 7-3 and had won six matches in a row prior to Kei's 7-6 6-3 success in the round robin of the 2018 ATP World Tour finals.
They have only faced off once on grass prior to today, with Federer prevailing 6-3 7-6 in the semi finals at Halle in 2014.

TON UP FED? The Swiss Maestro is appearing in his 17th quarter final at Wimbledon today. A victory would not only take him a step closer to a record-extending ninth title in SW19, but also clock up his 100th Wimbledon win. That milestone would see him become the first player in the Open Era to pick up a century of match wins at a Grand Slam.
