The Arkea-Samsic team of French national champion Warren Barguil and German veteran sprinter Andre Greipel are the second team to get going. The teams are going at five-minute intervals. Astana next.

They're off! Geraint Thomas and his Ineos teammates roll down the ramp to get their race against the clock underway. It will be interesting to see which of these eight riders crosses the line first. For should they go on to set the best time, that rider is likely to be in yellow. Unless it's Jonathan Castroviejo, who came in 4'11" down yesterday.

Funnily enough, with Jumbo-Visma the last team down the ramp at 15:15 UK time, we have a situation where the two big favourites for the win top and tail this race against the clock. That will keep the suspense right to the end. Remember, Ineos (or Sky as they were before) have never won a TTT on a Grand Tour before. They're off in 2 minutes.

First down the ramp today is Team Ineos - one of the big favourites. Their early start comes because they're on the bottom of the team standings following that small crash by defending champion Geraint Thomas in the finale yesterday. Because most Ineos riders stopped to check up on the Welshman, their position in the standings was affected. That can all change today.

If you missed it, this was how Mike Teunissen took a maiden Tour stage win and with it the first Dutch yellow jersey for 30 years.

Here's the official profile of today's stage: it looks lumpy but the highest point is only 108m and it's going to be a very fast course between the Palais Royal and Atomium monument.

Yesterday, Dutchman Mike Teunissen sprung a huge surprise to deny Slovakia’s Peter Sagan victory and the yellow jersey in the opening stage in Brussels after a crash-strewn finale ended the chances of Teunissen's Jumbo-Visma teammate Dylan Groenewegen. Thanks to his last-minute promotion and a superior bike lunge at the end of the 194.5km stage, Teunissen beat Bora-Hansgrohe’s Sagan in a photo finish in front of the Laeken Castle in the Belgian capital, with Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal) in third.
