Vorsah clearly fouls Pitroipa but gets away with it. This ref's not the greatest it has to be said.

Burkina Faso will be boosted by that chance. Ghana look disrupted by those two injuries and are sitting deep to repel waves of attacks.

Bance wins a free-kick off Vorsah on the right and the replay shows that the ball did NOT cross the line from the previous corner. Bance's header hit the bar, the net rippled but due to the keeper's hand.

The referee waves play on after the Ghana keeper appears to pull the ball back from over the line! Ghana counter and almost score but Burkina Faso clear! Need to see that again!

This pitch is not helping. However Kone can release Pitroipa on the right, whose cross is headed behind by Afful for a corner.

Almost a suicidal pass across the face of goal by Kone to Koulibaly, but Ghana commit a foul.

Asamoah feeds Atsu on the left but, afte beating Kone, the bobble takes the ball up just as he was set to cross, spooning out for a goal kick.

Ghana now have a free-kick on the right but Wakaso's ball in is cleared by Koulibaly.

Boateng gives the ball away but manages to recover and clear.

GHANA SUB: Rabiu, who picked up a knock late in the first half, can't run it off and Derek Boateng comes on.

The second half is underway and Atsu pops up on the left wing to win a corner for Ghana.

Half-time and Ghana lead 1-0 through that soft penalty, although they - and Burkina Faso - should have been awarded bona fide claims.

Not really sure what Ghana are doing at the moment - Asamoah is playing on the left, which is a waste of his ability to dominate a game from midfield.

Asante on the right, low cross and the ball breaks to Gyan in the box but it gets tangled in his feet and team-mate Atsu gets in his way, allowing Burkina Faso to clear.

Wakaso is tackled by Rouamba but the ref decides it's a free-kick. Not sure about the man in black's performance so far.

Kone finds Pitroipa, who skips away from Boye but is caught by the Ghana defender - no foul though says the ref!

Rabiu now is struggling with an injury and has to go off for treatment. He's back on his feet and will return when play stops.

Badu heads well over after a decent cross from Atsu. He hits the deck holding his head, an accidental clash with Koffi.

Corner to Ghana then but cleared. Asamoah is caught by Kabore in midfield but play on.

JUST WIDE BY ASANTE! He curled it top right with the side of his foot after fantastic play from Asamoah, but it was deflected inches wide by a fantastic block from Kone!

Gyan is helped to his feet after going down claiming a free-kick. Nothing given.
