Pitroipa goes down under pressure from Boye and he wants a penalty! There was clear contact and it looked like a foul to me! Nothing on the ball!

Bance is looking lively and almost gets in but Vorsah gets it clear.

Pitroipa is caught by Pantsil so Burkina Faso have a free-kick.

Bakary Kone plays it back to the keeper, who is almost closed down by Gyan after lazily waiting for it!!

Bance with a turn some way out but the bleach-blond Burkinabe fires well wide.

The first half is underway - it's the Mbombela, so the surface is once more atrocious.

Ghana make just the one change as Bristol City winger Albert Adomah makes way for Wakaso, who scored both of Ghana's goals in the unconvincing 2-0 win over Cape Verde.

Burkina Faso make several changes from the team that beat Togo in extra time, one assumes fatigue-related. Midfielder Ouattara makes way for Rouamba, while Nakoulma - whose introduction as a sub changed the game against Togo - is rewarded with a start in place of Sanou. And finally forward Dagano is replaced by Bance. Alain Traore is injured.
