Valencia catches Torres a bit late and Chelsea have a free-kick. Taken short, Bosingwa wide, good run past Evra but a poor cross spins behind.

Torres misplaces a pass and Carrick brings it forward. The move loses impetus and Chelsea break only for Torres's pass to hit Carrick.

The corner is half-cleared and Park hits it low through the crowd, deflected off Bosingwa I think and wide for another corner.

United with some good possession as Evra on the left 'does' Bosingwa but runs into Essien, who is chased down by Evra and clumsily puts it behind for a corner.

Essien again gives it away, and then fouls Giggs, 35 yards out. The vetran winger feigns to take but then Rooney knocks it wide to Valencia, quick cross to Park and Hernandez almost connects but half cleared...

Drogba turns on halfway but excellent defending - and pace - from Carrick to get goal-side of him and draw the foul.

Good tackle by Essien on Park but he gives it away and in runs Rafael, but a heavy touch allows Ivanovic to hoof clear.

As expected, Drogba is fine and back on the pitch.

Drogba is down with a facial problem... Rio accidentally stroked his eye with a stray finger as they jostled for a high ball. He'll be fine.

That blistering start has cooled somewhat, with a cagier approach now being taken from both sides. Softly softly, catchee monkey.

Torres with a clever ball wide to Bosingwa, who surges in but plays a poor cross that doesn't clear the first man Evra. Drogba has it now, and Torres crosses but it's poor and out for a goal kick.

Quick release from Van der Sar after Rafael intercepts ahead of Drogba. United don't use the time well though and end up playing it about in defence before Bosingwa brings it away.

I'm still not sure if Essien was booked for that foul on Rooney - he should have been. Torres drills a low shot in from the right but it's straight at Van der Sar. Evra with the error to let him in.
