Chelsea are unbeaten against Schalke, winning three of the five meetings and conceding just once. Schalke's home record against English opposition in general isn't great, reading one win in five.

Jose Mourinho: "It is Chelsea against Schalke, it is not me against Di Matteo. I don't play against him."

Reunited! Chelsea come face to face with former boss Roberto Di Matteo for the first time since he was sacked six months after delivering Champions League glory to the club in 2012. The Italian became Schalke boss in October and, despite claiming his attitude here is strictly professional, would surely relish sending a pointed message the way of a certain Mr Abramovich.

Some Group G permutations for you. Chelsea, who lead on eight points, could secure their passage to the last-16 as group winners with a win tonight, or with a draw of 2-2 or more. Schalke can't qualify or be ruled out tonight but a win would put them in a strong position as they face bottom side Maribor next time out.

So Jose Mourinho puts out a full-strength side as he looks to wrap up qualification for the konckout phase tonight. Schalke will have to make do without Julian Draxler in midfield.
