As for Madrid, they're without both Koos and Kovacic, but it's always a pleasure to enjoy Isco. Kovacic is good too, but Madrid's creation will be mainly on him tonight.

iIm looking forward to seeing Pulisic tonight, who might just become a star, and also Dahoud, who's started badly at Dortmund but has a lot of talent.

The law of averages says that it'll be tricky for Madrid to retain this trophy - two in a row is tough enough, let alone three in a row and four in five. On top of that, Ronaldo is now coming down the other side of the hill - he has two league goals so far this season - and there's simply no way of resolving that problem.

Both these teams have been absolute bile this season. Madrid's domestic title is almost gone already, while Dortmund have been laughably bad, especially at the back. And up front. But no one will much want either when Europe resumes in February - assuming Apoel don't beat Dortmund's result tonight. .

So, plenty of serious talent on the park tonight. The game between these two in Dortmund was probably the best game I watched last season; let's hope for something similar tonight.
