    WATCH SANCHO’S OPENER
Here’s how Dortmund took the lead on the night.
discovery+ is the streaming home of TNT Sports, the only place to watch the UEFA Champions League live. Please note this video can only be viewed in the UK and Ireland.

    PSV CLINGING ON
Malen darts down the left and drills a cross right into the danger area, which somehow evades all of the yellow-shirted forwards up in attack. It’s wave after wave of Dortmund threat right now and it could easily be much more than just 1-0.

    DOUBLE SAVE DENIES DORTMUND
Brand stings the palms of Benitez from a wide angle, but the keeper’s save deflects the ball right into the danger area, and Malen very nearly takes advantage with a first-time shot that looks destined for the bottom corner only for the sprawling legs of the keeper to make the ‘save’. He knew very little about that, and Malen holds his head in his hands. It should be 2-0.

    BETTER FROM PSV
The visitors work the ball into the box and there’s a hint of an opportunity for Tillman, who can’t quite manage to open up a shooting position. That’s more like it.
    13'
    SANCHO’S SUBLIME SKILLS
Sancho is back full of confidence and shows off a silky trick to dart into space down the right. PSV have no answer to the pace and threat of Dortmund’s attacking play so far tonight.
    11'
    ANOTHER CHANCE FOR DORTMUND
Fulkrug is in space on the left of the area but he drags his shot wide. Dortmund continue to pour forward and there’s a half-shout for a penalty.
    9'
    REFEREE GETS IN THE WAY
There’s a cynical block on the break to stop a Dortmund counter-attack… or at least that’s what you would have called it were it not the referee getting in the way of the move. That’s the second time he’s got into a poor position already, but protests that it isn’t his fault. Not sure who else’s fault it could be, but there we go.

    DORTMUND WELL ON TOP
The home side are really ticking and Sancho is full of confidence after that early goal. He darts to the byline and cuts a dangerous cross back into the mixer which PSV scramble to safety.

    GOAL! DORTMUND 1-0 PSV (SANCHO)
Dortmund lead 2-1 on aggregate and it’s Jadon Sancho who’s got it. He steps onto his right outside the box and whips his shot through a defender’s legs and in off the near post, with the goalkeeper perhaps slightly unsighted. What a start for the home side!

    HUGE EARLY CHANCE
There’s a massive moment early on as the ball breaks to Maatsen in the box. He’s pulled back slightly, but shrugs off an incident that could have interested the officials, and then draws a reaction save out of Benitez. He maybe should have scored, but it was all going on there.
