Ireland have moved the ball much faster since Denmark scored and again get it into the box, Browne following up when it's cleared, but shooting directly into Braithwaite.

Schmeichel again takes bare time with his kick and this time he's booked.

Browne tosses in, Schmeichel comes miles to collect, gets nowhere near, and Stevens thrashes wide.

denmark keep it nicely, but then Jorgensen swipes it forward to no one.

There'll be four added minutes.

It takes Denmark about 53 goes to get the corner clear, but eventually they do. The ball them comes back, but ends up behind, and Schmeichel takes several hours over taking his goalkick.

Ireland build again and now look the more likely scorers - Denmark have brought that on themselves - and Doherty crosses to the near post, Maguire diving and someone knocking it behind for a corner.

Doherty down the right again, crossing low, but Denmark scramble clear.

Denmark might wonder why they sat back, inviting pressure - the only way Ireland were likely to score was by pouring it on and hoping for a break inside the box, which is what they got.

GOAL! Ireland 1-1 Denmark (Doherty) Doherty crosses from the right and misses everyone, but Stevens collects from the other side and clips in a fine cross, which he meets on the run, powering a mahoosive header past Schmeichel!

Change for Denmark and it's a defender for a midfielder, Christensen coming on for Schone.

Stevens finds McClean, driving through the middle and, 25 yards out, he has men in space on either side but opts to have a go, dragging a drive straight at Schmeichel. It's a shot on target i suppose, but there's not much else to be said for it.

The corner bobbles about but eventually Schone belts it clear.

Final shot for McCarthy: Maguire replaces Whelan.

Robinson crosses form the left and McGoldrick is up early; he misses his header backs it up and behind, but the ref gives a corner.

McGoldrick finds Doherty close to the by-line and his cross isn't awful, but no one attacks the near post and Schmeichel claims on the dive.

Ireland huff and puff. The house remains upright.

McClean half-leaps into a challenge with Braithwaite - it looks fair enough to me, just - but he catches his man in the follow-through, and the ref gives a foul. Braithwaite stays down, as you might, and mcClean gets so angry he mouths himself into the book.
