McGoldrick wins a knockdown and the ball bounces up for Browne! He wipes his foot across it, and sends a loopy shot not that far wide of the far post.

Ital lead Armenia 4-0; Spain lead Romania 2-0.

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhhhh! Stevens slides a ball in from the right and Jorgensen misses with his slide, so Hourihane collects and his first touch is a good one, taking him into the box, and he opens his body to stroke a sidefooter into the corner ... only to panic and pass it straight to Schmeichel. That was as good a chance as Ireland could've hoped for, and a miserable attempt at converting it.

Dolberg, who briefly looked like a player, replaces Cornelius.

Browne finds space down the right and looks to counter, so Schone chops him down and is booked.

Hojbjerg hoists into the box; Duffy heads clear.

It never rains! Cornelius, bandaged head and all, diddles a hammy! He walks off the pitch and that'll be the end of his night.

Ok, great. We're back to nothing happening.

Gosh, Cornelius looks groggy as you like, but he gets up and carries on. I'm not sure about that at all.

Cornelius wallops his head in a collision with Egan and is down getting bandaged.

Eriksen swings the corner out, and McGoldrick heads powerfully away.

Another cross from Dalsgaard goes off Egan and behind...

The ball comes over and ricochets off a couple of legs before Randolph collects.

Dalsgaard finds space down the right and crosses despite pressure from McClean; Cornelius is up, but the ball flicks off Egan and goes behind.

Stevens finds Whelan - Ireland are trying to play their way out of defence tonight - and Whelan plays his way out of play.
22'
McGoldrick finds the ball in midfield and McClean is in space down the left, but he instead goes for Stevens, also that way but deeper, and Hojbjerg intercepts.

Nothing is happening. Nothing has happened.

This is a gorgeously terrible game.

Denmark knock it about slowly, like 80s Liverpool with a 1-0 lead and George Courtney refereeing.

Kjaer hits a long one up to Cornelius, who Egan throws to the ground. Free-kick Denmark, which comes to nothing.

I imagine Denmark are also happy with things. Ireland haven't harnessed the passion form the crowd, and look toothless. And, as I type that, Doherty finds Hendrick, who flicks the ball into himself.
