    Stoke get right in behin the Split defence. Walters looks to beat the keeper, who makes an advance on the attacker before quickly going back, but elects to pass rather than shoot. It's the wrong option and Split clear.

    Etherington bursts down the left and tries to feed the overlapping Wilson but the pass is too firm and Split have a goal kick.

    The majority of the crowd aren't happy. Pennant goes into a tackle with Andric and leaves the Split man ono the floor. It's not a foul and Stoke win a throw-in.

    Begovic elects to take Stoke's free kick on the half way line. It's poor and goes straight into his opposite numbers arms. Maybe that'll be the last one he takes...

    Tense moment for Subasic. The keeper is put under sever pressure after a poor back pass from Milicevic but he does well to take a touch and volley away under pressure from Walters.

    Whelan loses possession deep in the Split half, allowing the hosts to attack. They do so down the right but the Potters are back quickly to stifle the attack.

    Ooooh. Horrible challenge from Brkljaca. Walters has his eye on the ball and wins the header but the Split man barges straight into the attacker. The ref has a word with him, but nothing else.

    Tomasov goes down the right again but Woodgate is across quickly to make the tackle and set up an attack for his team.

    Jones looks to get on the end of a long throw-in. The Trinidadian is again being pulled back but the referee is simply not interested.

    The inswinging corner is dangerous and finds the head of the rising Brkljaca who fires his header ofver from 8 yards. He should have done better.

    Milicevic goes long with a cross-field bal for Tomasov who takes a touch inside the Stoke penalty area beofre winning a corner.

    Whelan tries to find Jones with a lofted ball. The striker appears to be climbed upon by Milicevic but the referee waves play on.

He said "It is something a few of the lads will have seen before so it is not something we are worried about. The heat could be an issue but that is something we will just have to contend with.
