That was a really enjoyable game. Copenhagen gave it everything and might've scored before United did, but United created absolutely loads and on another night would've won comfortably. They'll have to play better to beat whichever of Sevilla and Wolves the meet next.

The ball is cut back and various defenders block the shot and Lingard streaks clear, but he has no help and runs into trouble just when it looks like he might get away.

That final push is underway, Boving going down the right and cutting back for Wind .. but Lindelof does really well to get ahead of hi, sticking the ball behind for a corner that comes to nothing.

United keep the ball, Martial, who's been fantastic since about 75 minutes, hilding up , weaving and knocking off. "What a player he is!" said Robin van Persie at half-time in extra-tome, and he's right. It's taken a while, longer than it usually does, but Martial is there. He could do still with getting a few more tap-ins, but everything else – the skill, the vision the imagination, the speed, the strength, the bravery, the timing, the finishing – are there now.

Again United look poised to clinch it, Mata driving and Johnsson saving with his feet, then Lindelof drags into the post.

United scythe forward again and Mata slowsx it down so Pogba has to force the pace, allowing the ball through his legs for Bruno to piledrive ... and Johnsson punches behind.

United look more likely to score a second than Copenhagen do to equalise, but as long as the former fails to happen, the latter is a serious possibility.
