Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the FA Cup third-round tie between Derby County and Chelsea from Pride Park.

Mikel just didn’t look comfortable taking on that shot, but how he’d love to score on his 300th appearance for the Blues.

Blue shirts line up on the edge of the penalty area. The ball rolls to Mikel who shoots from 25 yards. It’s a poor one though and is cleared.

Martin and Dawkins are on completely different wavelengths as Derby look to attack. Martin attempts a cheeky backheel, but his teammate had stayed for the return ball.

A sustained period of pressure from the visitors at the start of this half. Wisdom is given the run around, allowing Willian to cross. Keane is there again.

Positive start from Chelsea. Lovely combination play opens Derby's back four up as Oscar is sent free down the left. He crosses for Eto'o but the ball is hoofed clear by Keane.

The second half is under way. Derby kick off.

The referee brings the first half to an end.

POST!! In the final minute of this first period, Chelsea go closest. Ramires picks up the ball on the right side of the penalty area and shimmies inside to send a left-footed effort on to the foot of the far post.

We'll have one mintute of added time at the end of this first half.

A promising move for Chelsea at the end of the half. Hendrick concedes possession as Azpilicueta gets to the byline and pulls the ball back towards. Eto’o. Grant reads the play and is down at the striker’s feet to clear.

Dawkins skips down the left, turning Azpilicueta inside out before crossing. Oscar is back to help out and takes the ball to the face before conceding a corner.

Oscar shoots from distance once more. Derby have been resolute at the back so far today and have limited the Blues to very little. This effort clears the bar by some distance.

Luiz looks to be limping. The defender appeared to hurt himself in making that challenge on Ward following Schwarzer’s poor clearance.

Martin hits the deck under the challenge of Cahill. The striker is down and holding his face but there looked to be nothing in it.

Chelsea’s Australian keeper again puts his side in danger. An attempted pass out wide to Cole drops straight to Ward. Luiz is forced to make the foul. Schwarzer really needs to up his game when the ball’s at his feet.

Eustace dispossesses Ramires on the halfway line and surges forward. Martin runs out wide to drag Cahill away, creating space for Eustace to shoot. He does so but the effort loops straight into Schwarzer’s arms.

Patient build-up play from Chelsea results in Oscar hugging the left touchline before darting inside and flashing a well-struck shot wide of Grant’s far post. The keeper looked confident that it wasn’t on target, but the Chelsea man certainly caught it well.

The Blues are really going to have to work for this win today. The 5,000 travelling fans are in full voice, though, supporting their players. Chants of “Jose Mourinho” ring around Pride Park.

Chelsea are awarded a corner. Willian is the man to take it and whips it towards the far post. Cahill challenges Grant for the ball but the keeper does well to punch under pressure.

With ten minutes to go in this first half, it’s been very much 50/50. Steve McLaren will be very happy with how his side have performed so far. They’ve looked very comfortable against the Premier League opponents.

Forsyth overlaps down the left, trading a one-two with Dawkins to cross from the touchline. Martin darts to the near post, but 41-year-old Schwarzer plucks the ball out of the air in front of the striker.
