Is there any stopping Inter tonight? The Supercoppa Italiana isn't at the top of their priority list but it's still a piece of silverware and they would love to get another one over their rivals.

Tonight will be the 34th edition of the Italian Super Cup, and a 10th appearance in a row for Juventus, their 17th overall. With nine successes so far, no club has won the trophy as often as the Bianconeri. In the three previous editions held in January, Juventus have lifted the trophy in each of those new year encounters (1996, 2019 and 2021).

“We’ll need an aggressive and determined performance. We are aware that there will be moments where Juve will create trouble for us.

“In August, they seemed the favourite for the Scudetto, with Inter and other clubs in the race. But the pitch counts. Now we are on top, but the race will be open until the end.

"It's a final and there are no favourites in these games. Juventus are unbeaten in the last eight matches and they made something extraordinary on Sunday.

“They are accustomed to playing finals, they have experienced players, but we are in a good moment."

Add Aaron Ramsey and Juan Cuadrado to the unavailable list and Max Allegri is staring at a depleted squad.

Inter are at full strength and come into this game on the back of eight victories in a row, some 11 points ahead of the Old Lady in the Serie A table.

With Federico Chiesa ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL tear sustained in the win over Roma, Dejan Kulusevski steps in to fill the void. Alvaro Morata is restored to the team at the expense of Moise Kean, who drops to the bench alongside Paulo Dybala. Daniele Rugani features at centre-back as Matthijs de Ligt misses out through suspension. Mattia Perin takes the place of Wojciech Szczesny in goal.

Hakan Calhanoglu returns to Inter's XI after missing the win over Lazio with suspension as Roberto Gagliardini drops to the bench. Edin Dzeko keeps his place after a recent spell in isolation and partners Lautaro Martinez in attack.
