So what do Eibar have left in the tank after what was a positive first half, despite the scoreline? Can they mak a fight of this, or will Real Madrid stretch their legs farther?

HALF TIME: Eibar 0-2 Real Madrid. The scoreline slightly flatters the European champions at the break, but they have shown much better cutting edge in the final third.

As you might expect, Eibar look somewhat deflated at the end of this half. They have played quite well but find themselves 2-0 down going into the break.

Two minutes of stoppage time to be played.

That wasn't the cleanest strike from Ronaldo. It seemed to actually hit his standing foot, but it found the corner of the Irureta's net. That gives Real Madrid some breathing space.

GOAL! Eibar 0 Real Madrid 2 (43 mins - Cristiano Ronaldo). And the visitors have a commanding lead before the break, with Ronaldo finishing off the move after good work from Carvajal.

YELLOW CARD: James Rodriguez (Real Madrid)

Del Moral is pressing the Real Madrid backline when they have the ball. He is rushing them into decisions and this time Ramos launches the ball forward under pressure from the striker.

After a really positive response to going a goal down you just get the feeling that eal Madrid are starting to make their attacking impression on this game. Can Eibar hold out at 1-0 until the break?

That was inventive from Bale! The Welsh winger hits a strike first time towards the Eibar goal, but with the goalkeeper beaten the ball flashes just past the far post. That would have been a great goal.

Irureta should also take a huge slice of credit for making that save. Ramos certainly should have done better with his effort, but the goalkeeper did really well to make the stop.

Great chance for Ramos! Rodriguez squares a cross into the six yard box for the defender to attack, but the ball is slightly behind Ramos and he can only find the gloves of the goalkeeper.

The resulting corner kick comes to Isco, who fires a shot from the edge of the box, but it takes a deflection off an Eibar player and goes behind for another corner kick to Real Madrid.

Ronaldo throws in a stepover to get to the byline ahead of Abraham before stabbing a cross to the back post for Benzema. The goalkeeper drops the ball but Eibar clear their lines.

Eibar are playing some really tidy stuff at the moment. They are playing the game in the Real Madrid half, although Ancelotti's side are keeping them at arm's length for the time being.

It would have been easy for Eibar to fold having conceded the first goal, as so many teams do, but they've actually upped their game and are giving Real Madrid something to think about.

Ronaldo gets in behind the Eibar backline down the right channel and stops to wait for support from his teammates. But Abraham does really well to make a tackle on the Real Madrid star.

Capa plays a great ball in behind the Real Madrid defence for Saul to run on to. But Casillas makes a good save from the Eibar forward, although the flag was raised by the linesman.
