In the end, Barcelona collect all three points, but they were made to work for it. Eibar put up quite a challenge, even after they were reduced to 10 men following the red card shown to Orellana. However, Valverde will surely be concerned with how his players looked rather tired throughout.

ESCALANTE WIDE! That wasn't a bad effort from the Eibar substitute. The ball fell to Escalante about 25 yards out, but he drags his strike wide of the far post. Ter Stegen was worried.

Messi believes that he should have been awarded a penalty kick after hitting the ground inside the Eibar penalty area, but replays show that the tackle was well-timed. Good decision.

There is belief flowing through this Eibar team, despie the fact that they are down to 10 men and their manager is watching from the stands. They're still high pressing Barcelona.

Charles is thrown on for Eibar. The veteran Brazilian wil give the hosts more of a goal threat.

Unlike many of their rivals, Barcelona didn't have a Champions League game to play during the week, but it must be said that Valverde's side look rather tired. They're weary.

This is quite impressive from Eibar. They are down to 10 men following the dismissal of Orellana, but they are still pressing and probing for a way through this Barcelona team.

That's an interesting change from Valverde. The introduction of Vidal probably means that Barcelona will play the final 10 minutes or so of this match. Paulinho looked rather weary.
