Barcelona are clear leaders at the top of La Liga, but they won't want to give Atletico Madrid and Valencia any reason to believe that the Catalans can be caught. They can't lose their focus.

SUAREZ BLASTS OVER! Messi jinks inside, beating two defenders in the process before laying the ball off to his teammate, but Suarez was leaning back and scoops well over.

The problem for Eibar is that the more that they come out and attack Barcelona, the more space there will be behind their defence for the La Liga pace-setters to take advantage of.

If the hosts are to fight back, you get the feeling that Orellana will be a factor. The Chilean has been lively so far and has had a couple of chances. He's causing problems.

It was an even first half between the two sides, but Barcelona quality told in the goal of Suarez's. Can Eibar hit back over the next 40 minutes or so, though? They have tested Barca.

HALF TIME: Eibar 0-1 Barcelona. No time is added on at the end of the first half and Suarez's goal is the difference between the two sides. Barca are fortunate to be ahead.

Angel thinks that he has won a corner kick with just seconds left of the first half, but Pique gets back to make the invervention and the home side have to make do with a throw in.

Can Eibar create one last opportunity before the half time whistle? Stats show that the home side have actually had more of the possession than Barca, playing more passes too.

Of course, Messi grabs the headlines for the goals he scores, but he is arguably the best passer in world football as well. The number of through balls he has played today has been incredible.

OFFSIDE! Alba breaks through the Eibar defensive line after an excellent through ball from Messi, but the flag is raised on the near side. Replays show that the left back was onside.

That would have been a magnificent goal from Messi has he found the far corner of the net. The link up play between the Argentine playmaker and Suarez was exceptional.

MESSI HITS THE POST! That was very close to a second goal for Barcelona. The angle was exceptionally tight for the Argentine, but Messi strikes the woodwork with a whipped shot.

This has been a strange match so far. Now Barcelona are coasting. It's almost as if they think they have this match won, and yet Eibar are coming back into the contest. They're pressing again.
