Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE coverage of the Spanish Liga fixture between Barcelona and Celta Vigo. We'll bring you all the action as it happens. Kick off is at 5.30pm.

Barcelona get the job done with a fairly comfortable 2-0 win over Celta Vigo and that result means that they hold a three-point lead at the top of La Liga at the end of 2018. Alba was the best player on the pitch this evening, although Dembele and Messi weren't bad either.

Messi freekick... wide! That was an opportunity for Messi to wrap things up, but he sends his freekick wide of the target. Ruben wasn't so sure about that. He looked beaten.

Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.

Barcelona look quite comfortable with the scoreline at 2-0, but one Celta Vigo could change the game. Time is running out, though, if we are to see any sort of fightback.

This would be a fourth successive clean sheet for Barcelona in La Liga. They have been defensively vulnerable at times this season, but they haven't shown that in recent weeks.

Sisto is seeing plenty of the ball. He's made quite the impact since coming off the bench. He is picking up the ball in deep positions and driving it forward, committing Barca players.

This is much better from Celta Vigo. They are probing on the edge of the Barcelona penalty area. If they are to mount a late fightback they really need to find a goal soon.

Sisto has certainly added something extra to the Celta Vigo since coming on off the bench. Might they have thrown him on a little earlier? It's too little too late now.

It was actually Semedo who did the most to keep the ball out of the Barcelona net a few moments ago. He managed to get his body in between the ball and Sisto, who looked set to convert.

No luck for Celta! The ball looked destined to end up in the back of the net after a bit of a scramble at the back post, but somehow Ter Stegen manages to keep it out. He dived on it!

Mazan with the shot! The Celta Vigo man was a long way out from goal, but he took on the shot regardless and won the corner, with the block made on the edge of the Barca box.

A change for Celta Vigo and it's Sisto who comes on. He'll give them more threat.

Costas is down! This might be another Celta Vigo injury. Costas is down and is receiving some treatment. Although it now looks like he will be able to see out the game.

Messi is offside! That was a rare show of dissent from Messi, who thought he was through, only to see the flag. He boots the ball away. Should that have been a yellow card?

This has been quite a disappointing performance from Celta Vigo. They are a good team and have had good results against Barcelona before. But they have been passive today.
