SOOOOO CLOSE! That would have been a stunner from Ansu! He moved the ball on to his right foot and curled a strike towards goal, but a slight deflection saw it flash just inches wide. Wow.

Ansu is showing for the ball every time Barcelona look to spray possession. The teenager plays without fear and has been the most influential player on the pitch in these early stages.
16'
Celades is out on the touchline, but the new Valencia manager looks rather upset by what he has seen from his team in these opening 15 minutes. It's been a pretty bad display so far.

You can see a real partnership starting to emerge between de Jong and Arthur in the centre of the Barcelona midfield. That is the face of the future for the Catalan club.
13'
That was a big goal for De Jong. The Dutchman had faced some criticism in his first few games for Barcelona. One of the criticisms was that he didn't get forward enough. One goal, one assist tonight...

Valencia need to keep their heads here. It would easy for them to let things boil over given the situation they find themselves in after just 10 minutes. Things are looking tough for them.

What a confident start this has been from Barcelona. They are in complete control and look like they might score every time they work the ball into the final third. They are rampant.

Well, I think it's fair to say that Ansu is quite the talent. What a start the 16-year-old has made to his Barcelona career. He's played about 20 minutes in total and has two goals and an assist!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 2 (7 mins - Frenkie de Jong) Valencia 0. The roles have been reversed for the second Barcelona goal! Ansu created the space, he crossed for de Jong and the young Dutch midfielder whistled a finish high into the roof of the net. It's already a long, long way back for Valencia from here.

If Valencia's plan was to sit deep, absorb pressure and hold Barcelona at arm's length, that game plan has been undone within just a few minutes. Not going all that well for Celades.

The finish from Ansu was excellent, but the assist from de Jong was just as good. The Dutchman spotted the run of the teenager and made the pass almost instantly. No hesitation.

Well, that woke up the Camp Nou. Ansu scored after coming off the bench before the international break and he has scored just two minutes into his first Barcelona start. Wow.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (2 mins - Ansu Fati) Valencia 0. What a moment! Ansu has scored two minutes into his first start as a Barcelona player! The 16-year-old arrived late on the scene, lashing home a low finish after an inch-perfect pass by de Jong. Ansu looks to be something special. Remember the name! What a star!

It's quite telling that Suarez is on the bench for Barcelona this evening. He wasn't on international duty and so should be fresh, but Valverde has elected to stick with Ansu and Perez instead.
