McCartney misses his tackle on Ben Arfa and Ba is sent away down the right - he plays a low cross through the legs of Tomkins but cleared before Ben Arfa can arrive. West Ham counte as Benayoun slides it in for Carroll but it's back with Krul.

Long towards Reid, he knocks it down AND NOLAN WITH THE BICYCLE KICK but Taylor stands his ground to block! Corner.

Handball by Cisse, clear and deliberate but he escapes a booking. Odd.

The next cross by Ferguson is not a good one though and it goes straight out for a goal kick,

Ferguson, who is actually playing down the left it seems, puts in a flashing waist-high cross that Cisse dives in to meet but Tomkins just does enough to put him off and it spins clear.

Jaaskelainen is closed down by Cisse and almost runs into trouble but he gets the goal kick off the Senegal striker in the end.

Ba strays well offside when Cisse played him through.

Ferguson gives chase as Jonas plays it down the left but it runs out for a throw. Ferguson is playing in central midfield but he's more a winger in my view.

The first half is underway as Krul claims a long ball under pressure from Nolan.
