Many thanks for joining us - good win for Newcastle today, while Tony Pulis has suffered a first truly disappointing day since taking over.

It's all over at Selhurst Park! Palace showed spirit at times, but they were totally outplayed - particularly in midfield - by an impressively solid Newcastle outfit. Palace remain in the bottom three, while Newcastle keep pace with the race for those elusive Champions League places.
90'+3
Newcastle just pinging the ball around calmly now, winding down the clock until they can get out of the weather.
90'+2
Alan Pardew looking content, Tony Pulis silent (at last) and resigned to his fate.
90'+1
Free kick for Palace thumped in by Puncheon, headed onto the roof of the net by Ward.

Chamakh has a long-range crack trying to find an equaliser - but it's well wide. Four extra minutes to play, but the home fans are already crowding for the exits.
89'
Williamson gets his head to the corner, but it's cleared by Chamakh.
88'
Palace give away a corner now - Anita takes...
87'
The points are safe now for Newcastle - and the surge of possession and chances they had since the introduction of Hatem Ben Arfa made them look a different team.

GOAL TO NEWCASTLE! Ben Arfa hits the penalty witih vicious power, and though Speroni guesses right and gets his hand on the ball he can't stop it going in.

PENALTY TO NEWCASTLE! Parr comes in late on Ameobi as he runs into the box, and there's no doubt about that one. Ben Arfa will take.
84'
Huge chance for Newcastle - and it's Ben Arfa again, smashing the ball across the six-yard box... but Ameobi fails to make the slight contact needed to put it in.

Chamakh gets a yellow card - and he'll be suspended for a game - after a crazy, late challenge on Coloccini from behind. Crazy tackle - there was nothing on, the ball was almost away anyway.
83'
Looks like a yellow here for Joel Ward after a late bodycheck on Santon - but no, just a talking to.
82'
Ben Arfa doesn't look in great shape, but he's been electric on the ball since being introduced....
81'
Ben Arfa in the mix again as he makes space to shoot as a loose ball comes into him in the box - but it's blocked superbly by Mariappa.

GOUFFRAN HITS THE BAR! Amazing run by Ben Arfa into the box sees him beat two men and topple over his own feet... but not before laying it off to Gouffran to hit a shot from the edge of the box that cracks off the left upright. So close!
79'
Cabaye is coming off, Ben Arfa will come on to replace him. Cabaye looks shattered after putting in a great shift today.

SHOULD HAVE BEEN 3-0! Cabaye picks up a deflected ball and is on in Speroni, one-on-one... but Cabaye's effort to slot past the Argentine keeper is well-saved, low and left. That chance almost seemed to take Cabaye by surprise.
77'
Tony Pulis about to bring on striker Dwight Gayle - Cameron Jerome will come off despite looking very lively in this half. Why would Palace take a striker off anyway when they've nothing to lose?
