Debuchy collects a long ball forward aimed at Adebayor, and they're harried by Spurs in their own half.

Gouffran has space on the right, time to cross, but his cross is blocked for a corner. The first is put behind for another corner, and Santon's second delivery is headed away at the near post.

Kaboul hits a low pass forward that skids all the way to Krul. Spurs quickly win the ball back, but the move breaks down and now Sissoko starts an attack for Newcastle.

Williamson is found at the back post, he heads it up into the air, Paulinho heads away for Ameobi to collect and send his shot from the edge of the box well wide of goal.

Lennon trips Debuchy on the left wing, and Newcastle have a free kick just over the halfway line.

Gouffran sends in a high cross from the right, and it sails out for a goal kick. Gouffran seems a much better player on the end of moves than he does when he's trying to provide assists.

The corner comes out to Naughton, lurking outside the box, and he sends his shot well over the bar.

Adebayor switches the ball left to Lennon, who cuts in on his right foot, and he sends a low shot against the side of the post thanks to a Krul save.

Another long ball for Cisse to chase, and Lloris is out to claim it quickly.

The cross is wasted, and Spurs easily clear.

Sissoko breaks down the left, but Dembele is back to cover. Then, Santon is found on the left by Sissoko and Walker clips him to the ground and Newcastle have a free kick.

Debuchy's tackled by Naughton on the left, and Lennon receives the ball, and his ball forward is blocked and out for a throw on the left wing.

Cisse is found by an Ameobi chip of the top. Cisse attempts to lob the oncoming Lloris, but he lifts the ball high and wide, and Spurs get lucky.

Adebayor finds Walker steaming down the right, and his pace allows him to reach it. He slides the ball across goal to the incoming Lennon, but Williamson slides to the ball, and Adebayor is tackled just as he reached the loose ball. The corner then drifts out for a goal kick.

Bentaleb and Anita have a few nibbles at one another, but luckily they manage to repair the relationship swiftly.

At Fulham, Liverpool have gone a goal down.

Spurs continue to hound Newcastle, and they panic at every opportunity.

Ameobi attempts to hit back, charging down the inside left, but his shot is blocked by Kaboul.

GOAL! Newcastle 0-1 Spurs. Adebayor scores. Debuchy does well to win possession high up the pitch but loses the ball with a chipped ball towards Cisse. Bentaleb breaks down the left wing, sends in a cross between defence and keeper. Krul flaps at the ball haplessly, diverting it into the path of Adebayor, whose instinctive tap at the ball sends it into an empty net.

Paulinho robs Santon in midfield, who breaks forward. He finds Adebayor who loses the ball, but Spurs keep the pressure on. Eventually Bentaleb curls a cross into the arms of Krul.

Ameobi gets to the byline on the left wing, and sends over a poor cross that drifts behind for a Lloris goal kick.
