Arnautovic slipped in with a Crouch through ball, but his shot can't squeeze into the near post. That's it, full time. I'm sure we're all thankful that it's over. Stoke deserved the win, but it wasn't pretty. Begovic isn't happy that Altidore came in a little late as he got the ball, but that's it.

Begovic sends the ball into the midfield. Sunderland long ball headed out by Walters. This is utter filth.

Seb Larsson also booked for dissent earlier, not Wes Brown - that's just been clarified.

Here we go, there are four added minutes of this match left. I don't think either side fancies them, and the ball is out of play.

Johnson drives towards the byline, clips a ball back, but it's headed out of the box. It falls to Larsson whose shot from distance is straight at Begovic.

Ki proves he is still on the pitch by sending a shot over.

Bardsley curls in a cross from the right, and Begovic claims. Wilkinson advances down the right, and tries to curl in a shot from just in the box, but it's too weak to trouble Mannone.

Sunderland just playing it around the defence now, and Stoke happy to let them do so.

Both sides appear to have settled for the result.

GOAL! Stoke City 2-0 Sunderland! N'Zonzi scores! Adam finds crouch, who drifts from the left into the centre. He picks out the run of N'Zonzi just down the centre of the box, and he drives the ball past Mannone.

Free kick for Sunderland on the left. Larsson takes, and Crouch and Adam combine t oclear. This is awful stuff.

Sunderland continue to dominate possession. But now Stoke break, and Walters appears to dive as he tries to win a free kick off Borini.

Arnautovic's challenge on Bardsley on the right wing earns him a booking.

Wilkinson replaces Huth

Adam fizzes a ball across the six-yard box but Walters can't quite reach it. Brown was booked for appealing the Fletcher/Begov interface.

Fletcher is back on now, and obviously the referee hasn't given a penalty or a foul. Another long ball is aimed towards Borini, but Cameron is over to cover, and wins a foul in the process.

...Begovic comes in with a high boot, clears the ball, and catches Fletcher as his foot drops. Stoke appeal for a foul as Fletcher is down for treatment.

Colback runs into trouble and Sunderland clear the ball, but send the ball long to Fletcher...
