GOAL! Stoke City 1-0 Sunderland. N'Zonzi runs onto a chipped ball over his shoulder on the right. He spins around in the box, and pulls the ball back to Charlie Adam who slots the ball past Mannone.
29'
Larsson attempts a scooped pass for Bardsley on the left wing, but it's way off target, and Stoke have the ball back to try to find a way through.
28'
More eventlessness. Is that a word?
27'
Stoke's turn to build up patiently, and Charlie Adam takes advantage of space behind the right back to aim a ball for Pieters that's just a little overhit.
26'
There has been a single shot on target this match. It was from Sunderland.
25'
Ki eventually tries a chipped ball over the top for Fletcher, but he can't bring it down and keep it in play. Stoke have it back now.
24'
Sunderland play in front of Stoke's defence and midfield, and pass the ball patiently. It's good to see they won't panic, but haven't found a way through yet.
23'
Crouch's flick behind the defence fails to find any Stoke runners. It wasn't the cleverest move I've ever seen.
22'
Nothing happens
21'
Crouch's through ball finds Arnautovic on the byline, and his cross is claimed by Mannone. Stoke then appeal for a penalty for a shot that hits O'Shea's forearm. His hands were in front of his chest, but I don't really know what the rules are.
20'
This is, as the euphemism goes, a tactically fascinating match.
19'
Cameron's cross from the right is headed away by O'Shea with Crouch lurking, and Stoke have a corner on the left. Adam's corner is headed out of play by Fletcher.
18'
This is very poor quality now. Nothing of note.
17'
Stoke have a little more possession, but just keep the ball in midfield and defence without getting anywhere dangerous yet. A long ball to Crouch drifts harmlessly towards the goalline.
16'
A couple of minutes of play when possession often swaps, and neither team can get a shot away. A calming time to reflect.

What a chance! Fletcher collects a long ball over the top. Unmarked, he chests/arms it down, and spins with a shot against Begovic. The corner comes to nothing, and the ball is sent in long again, the keeper flaps at it, and it almost rolls over the line until it's booted away.
13'
Cameron does well to find space on the right with a neat trick, and his cross inside is cleared away, and his second atempt is cleared by Brown, and volleyed away.
12'
Stoke concede a corner from a long ball. They take it but are pressed right back to their defence, and the moves break down when they resort to a long ball.
11'
Stoke have a free kick on the right after Giaccherini grabs hold of Cameron. It's right on the byline, for Adam to take left footed. It hits Fletcher, bounces, and is cleared. The ball is sent back in for Mannone to claim.
10'
Brown concedes a free kick in the Sunderland half. It's 40 yards away from goal, on the right wing. Adam loops it towards goal, and is ultimately a couple of yards wide.
8'
The corner is taken short, and although the ball is aimed toward Bardsley at the near post, the ball is kicked against him and out for a goal kick.
