FULL-TIME! Manchester United 3-0 Hull City. It was all a bit too routine for United who showed flahses of quality to take Hull apart, but the visitors perhaps should have done more, especially given their problems when it came to switching off in defence early on.
90'+2
Rooney is down again complaining of pain in his right leg after winning that corner. The forward flew off the pitch and into the advertisement hoardings.
90'+1
The match officials indicate that there will be three minutes of added time, and United have a corner, won through a bit of bravery by Rooney, who hobbles into the position. The corner is sent into the middle of the box and bounces past the far post and Falcao who can't reach it.
90'
Falcao brings the ball down and turns on the half-way line, showing his strength to shrug off his marker. He then proceeds to storm towards the Hull box, playing in Mata on the right, who takes a shot that's saved. The ball is loose but just as Falcao arrives to tap it in, it's smothered by McGregor, who creates an impenetrable wall of torso to stop the Colombian from kicking the ball through him.

A yellow card for Rojo, who cynically body checks Aluko. Given the scoreline, it was an unneccesary foul and now he has another card on his tally for the season. That may catch up with him later on given United's ever-growing injury list.
85'
That's 78% possession overall compared to just 22% for Hull City. With Di Maria's more risky passing on the field, those numbers may have been slightly different, but even after United lost their record-signing early on, this has been a game they've never looked like losing.
84'
Both teams trade passages of possession as what sting existed in this games appears to peter out as the final 10 minutes of play count down. As if to sum up their dominance beyond the scoreline, United have enjoyed 81% of the ball in the second half.
82'
Aluko manages to break forward but is pulled down mid-way through the United half. The referee waves play on: no whistle, no foul, no card. The Nigerian hammers the ground in protest. He clearly felt as though he'd been fouled.
81'
Now Herrera looks to make the difference again with a sweet ball from just outside the box to Fellaini in the right-hand channel who attempts to cross it in. It's knocked out for a corner however, which almost results in another goal Chris Smalling. He is only denied by a header on the line to head it away.
79'
Mata is a man on a mission to create United's fourth, with the Spaniard looking up and playing in a cross towards Rooney and Falcao in the Hull box, but his delivery is headed away.
78'
Mata dribbles down the right and plays the ball into Falcao, who returns the favour to the Spaniard, but shooting on his weaker right foot, the former Chelsea man just can't get it on target. A nice bit of inter-play from the Colombian and Mata however.

HULL SUBS: David Meyler comes on Robbie Brady while Stephen Quinn arrives to take the place of Diame. Can Hull get anything out of this game, 3-0 down and with just 15 minutes to go?

UNITED SUB: Darren Fletcher on for Antonio Valencia. United's makeshift full-backs haven't been exposed by Hull partly due to the selfless running of Valencia and, on the left, Ashley Young.
73'
Rojo puts in a solid challenge to win the ball from Aluko, but it's a tackle that leaves the Hull City striker looking a little worse for wear. His leg appeared to catch in the turf as he went down, tweaking his left knee. He's back up on his feet but doesn't look comfortable.

UNITED SUB: Radamel Falcao comes on for Robin van Persie. Having almost urged Van Persie to his goal, Old Trafford now cheers the Colombian who arrived on loan in the summer. Can his knees hold themselves together or will his camero be something for Hull to try and use to their advantage?
69'
Another high ball from Carrick finds its way to Van Persie as he enters the box, but it's snatched away from him by Dawson. The ball spills out to the left where a cross is sent in for Fellaini but his attempt is headed over. Here's Falcao...
68'
Van Persie may be on the scoresheet, but Falcao is being readied to replace him on the sidelines. The Colombian looks over some notes from the coaching staff as United pass it amongst themselves. Hull look beaten.

GOAL! United 3-0 Hull (Van Persie) - The Dutchman has his goal. Herrera picks him out on the left of the box, who takes a touch and rifles a shot right into the top corner. The Stretford End sound delighted as the striker raises his hands in the air and nods with satisfaction.

Another yellow card is shown, this time for Michael Dawson, who clattered Van Persie as he attempts to sprint into the Hull half. United restart the play with Carrick and they immediately begin to work it back to ease the pace of the game. Hull finally look keen to close down from the front.
63'
Herrera drives forward into the final third with the ball. He gives it to Van Persie who plays Rooney in with a back heel. The Englishman can't quite make the space for a shot though as the Dutchman sprints off to the left, raising his hand for a return ball. Rooney doesn't see him however, and the ball is worked back to Herrera. Hull's change of tact dropping back is closing up the obvious channels.
