Firmino almost sees the ball fly into the goal for a fourth after blocking the Pieters clearance. Not sure Stoke are overly convinced by Haugaard in their goal.

No real European hangover for Liverpool as they continue to play with more urgency than the visiting side. All working out nicely here for Jurgen Klopp's team.

GOAL! Origi follows up his goal in Dortmund with a headed goal from five yards out. Milner with the cross, but awful goalkeeping by Haugaard who surely had to come off his line to collect that.

Sturridge tries to send Firmino clear on goal, but just too much pace on the ball over the top. Stoke have a goakick.

Ball breaks to Moreno via the Milner free-kick, but the shot is blocked by Bardsley. Not sure he knew too much about that.

A late challenge by Shawcross on Sturridge off the ball. Liverpool with the chance to test out the Stoke defence with a free-kick.

Divock Origi replaces Sheyi Ojo for Liverpool at the start of the second half.

Off we go then in the second half of this delicately poised contest.

Liverpool with five attempts at goal to Stoke's seven. Just shading possession at 51-49. More goals in this one you suspect.

Clyne's effort from 22 yards is straight into the arms of Haugaard. Last action of the half. Liverpool lead 2-1 at the break.

We are into one minute of time added onto this first half.

Daniel Sturridge scores on an assist from Sheyi Ojo. It is Ojo's first assist in his first Premier League start; he already came on the pitch versus Southampton on 20 March.

A decent hit by Imbula from distance. Plenty of power on the shot, but Mignolet gets his frame behind the ball to make sure Liverpool protect their advantage.

Shaqiri decides to go for goal, but he lifts the ball well over the bar. It remains 2-1 to Liverpool. Mignolet happy to see that clear his goal.

Ojo guilty of bringing down Bardsley. This could be quite an interesting moment with Shaqiri again deployed with free-kick duties.

Stoke with another free-kick chance as Shaqiri throws over a brilliant delivery, but the Shawcross header is wide of goal. Real chance for Stoke. Liverpool again unconvincing in dealing with deliveries.

Shaqiri tries to pick out Crouch at the back post, but ball just a bit too heavy as it skips off the pitch and out of play.

Stoke probably a tad unfortunate to be behind, but you can't really dispute the quality of that finish by Sturridge. Can see why these clubs are bunched together in the middle of the Premier League table.
