GOAL: Hull City 1-0 Leicester City. Diomande nets from an overhead kick, in off the crossbar, following a good initial save from Schmeichel from Davies' header.

CHANCE: Drinkwater heads clear a Snodgrass corner for another corner, with Schmeichel in no-mans-land.

Snodgrass wins the corner off Fuchs after a series of 50-50 challenges, all won by Hull.

MISS: Vardy shoots over from close range after being set up by an unselfish pass from Musa, after the former CSKA Moscow striker had taken advantage of a Diomande error.

SAVE: Livermore blocks from Vardy, following a run and shot from Fuchs, then Mahrez misses the follow-up effort from close range. Best chance of the game so far.

Clucas wins the ball again, and sets up Diomande to cross. The Norwegian overhits the pass, but Elmohamady recovers the ball and sets up Diomande again, but he cannot get his effort on target.

This is a very underwhelming start to the match and the Premier League season, it has to be said.

Leicester look unbalanced with King attempting to play the Kante holding role. Hull look far more assured with Clucas in that position.

Gray finds Musa on the edge of the area but Hull are again sharp and alert to block the attack.

Hernandez swivels on the edge of the area and shoots, but his effort is well over Schmeichel's crossbar.

Robertson crosses from the left but Hernandez clears. Leicester break but Clucas makes a good tackle. The ball breaks again and Simpson gets a yellow card for a late challenge.

Robertson manages to recover to concede the corner under pressure from Vardy. Drinkwater loses out following the short corner, and concedes a foul on Clucas.
