Tuchel on the decision not to postpone today's game: "It is exactly like this, we thought we had a strong case regarding the security and health of players, we have seven positive cases, we were made to be in the bus and travel together for three hours, were in meeting together, in dinner and lunch and the situation does not feel like it will stop if we keep on doing this. We applied to not play and put the situation under control and it was rejected. It is very hard to understand it, we are very concerned about the health of the players. We end up with players who play coming from injuries and we take the risk.
"I am worried from a medical point of view, we have had four days of consecutive positive tests. How will it stop if we are in a bus together and in meetings together if we pretend it is not happening?
"We are disappointed, we are a bit angry."

Chelsea start this afternoon in third place, four points behind leaders Manchester City having dropped points in three of their last four league games. Wolves are in eighth and won't be a pushover - as Liverpool and Man City can testify. Both sides were made to work extremely hard for their 1-0 wins against Wolves recently.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has said he fears for the integrity of the Premier League given all the postponements. "He has a point, but everybody else who says we should still continue has also a point," said Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel in response. There is not one answer to all these questions that are asked in society and to professional football right now. That's why I don't have the feeling that I should go out with one proper opinion and make myself believe that I'm right on this. The situation is very, very complex and safety and health is always in first place."

There are three changes for Wolves - Raul Jimenez, Ki-Jana Hoever and Leander Dendoncker replace Hwang Hee-chan, Nelson Semedo and Francisco Trincao.
13:15
There are only two changes from the Chelsea side that drew 1-1 with Everton as N'Golo Kante and Trevor Chalobah replace Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho, both of whom are injured. There are at least four players missing with Covid-19 meaning the Blues name four outfield players on their bench.

Wow, just look at that Chelsea line-up. A huge number of players are missing including Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Jorginho, Ben Chilwell and Andreas Christensen. Don't get me wrong, it's still a relatively strong XI and the Blues ought to still have enough to beat Wolves, but you can understand why the club wanted the game postponed.
