    GOAL! MILAN IN FRONT!
It's been coming! Leao manages to rob the ball off Ayhan on the halfway line and sets off down the left wing, before cutting inside and rolling a ball across to Giroud.
The French striker's finish takes a deflection, but it squeezes through Consigli's legs and in! A massive goal for the title race.

    LEAO TURNS ON THE STYLE
Leao buys himself some space with a deft touch on the edge of the area before taking aim.

    MILAN AGAIN!
Milan are cranking up the pressure here. This time it's Saelemaekers who threatens, racing onto a long ball to get behind the defence, but Consigli closes the gap and blocks his effort.

    ANOTHER BIG CHANCE!
Tonali robs the ball off a dozing Sassuolo defender on the edge of the box and tees up Rafael Leao.
He seems to only have the keeper to beat, but Ferrari gets back to block his finish and it deflects over!
From the resulting corner a dangerous header is knocked off the line as Milan pile on the pressure.

    HUGE CHANCE!
Giroud is so close to putting Milan in front, as he gets on the end of a free-kick from deep and his header is parried away by Consigli from eight yards out!

    SASSUOLO SETTLE
The home side love to dictate the tempo and that's exactly what they're doing now.
Frattesi's shot is blocked by Kalulu, before Berardi fires an effort over the bar from distance. Some early warnings for Milan here.

    EARLY CORNER
The away fans roar as Milan win an early corner, but it comes to nothing after a sloppy pass from Theo Hernandez goes straight out.

    TIME FOR ZLATAN?
The only surviving member of Milan’s last title-winning squad is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was their top scorer back in 2010/11 in a team that featured the likes of Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso and Clarence Seedorf.
He’s had an injury-hit season this year, but has still mustered eight Serie A goals in 22 games – and Pioli revealed that the Swede is unsurprisingly desperate to feature in Reggio Emilia.
“Ibrahimovic would love to start tomorrow – like all of us,” Pioli said. “He has been very important for us. He brought a mentality, quality, intelligence and personality that a young squad like ours needed. He remains a reference point.”

    DIONISI ISSUES WARNING
Sassuolo don’t have much to play for today. They are already guaranteed a mid-table finish, but coach Alessio Dionisi has dismissed any notion that they will be taking it easy for their final home game.
“Milan deserve to be table leaders and it’s normal that many take their victory for granted, but we are Sassuolo, not a sparring partner. The result is not decided yet,” he said.

    OVATION FOR MAGNANELLI
There is an ovation for Sassuolo legend Francesco Magnanelli, who leaves the club this summer after 17 years.
A banner is lifted up in the stand behind the goal, which reads: "For 17 years in defence of these colours. We will always be indebted to you, eternal captain"
Magnanelli is on the bench today.

    PIOLI’S RALLYING CALL
“We’ve been the best up to this moment, but we need to be tomorrow as well,” Pioli said on Saturday.
“It’s not what we’ve done up until now that counts, but what we will do tomorrow. We have a great chance that we have deserved, but now we must finish this.”

    PIOLI STICKS TO HIS GUNS
As expected, Stefano Pioli has named an unchanged Milan side from the team that beat Atalanta 2-0 last weekend.
Playing 4-2-3-1, Olivier Giroud leads the line with an attacking trio of Rafael Leao, Rade Krunic and Alexis Saelemaekers behind him.
Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie partner in midfield, and a back four of Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez sits in front of recently-crowned Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year Mike Maignan.
