DJOKOVIC 2-6 6-4 0-2 NADAL
All that momentum Novak had at the end of set two has suddenly disappeared. Three unforced errors at the start of this game do him no go whatsoever, and although he wins the next two points, Rafa fizzes a gorgeous forehand down the line to close the game out

Wow! Two brilliant overheads from Nadal to win the first couple of points of this game, and Djokovic then nets after being forced way out wide on his forehand wing. Three break points to Rafa, but he needs just one as Novak goes long. The Spaniard breaks - the Serb has not won his opening service game in any of the three sets so far
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
I cannot emphasise enough how other-worldly the quality of this match has been so far - and we may be less than half way through it. Set three finally gets underway with 2 hours 21 minutes on the clock. McEnroe says "Novak will be tough to beat" from his point

WILL NADAL BE FORCED TO SPEED UP?
The time violation Rafa received for not serving quick enough does not seem to have had any impact so far, and John McEnroe is not happy

'Nadal just ignores him!' - McEnroe frustrated at Nadal taking too long over serves

DJOKOVIC ON THE COMEBACK
That was an 84 minute set, but Djokovic is well and truly in the ascendancy now. He's won six of the last seven games, having been 4-0 down

DJOKOVIC 2-6 6-4 NADAL
Djokovic unleashes some vicious ground strokes to pull back to 30-30 after losing the first couple of points of Nadal's service game. Rafa then nets off his backhand with a poor unforced error and it's set point the Novak. Can he convert? Not in the first instance, going long after some sturdy defence, but after saving a game point, he clatters down another brilliant return before Nadal goes long off his forehand. Set Djokovic.
POINT OF THE MATCH?
There have been some truly great moments in this match so far, and this one is right up there

'How good was that?!' - Nadal wins incredible point against Djokovic

DJOKOVIC 2-6 5-4 NADAL
Every game seems packed with drama, a set almost unto themselves. Novak finally holds comfortably to 15 though, cracking down a lovely backhand winner and helped by a loose Nadal forehand. We remain on serve
DJOKOVIC 2-6 4-4 NADAL
Djokovic has won four games in a row so Rafa must respond. The Serb just keeps clattering down some huge ground strokes though and Nadal needs to defend to his best to bring up 30-30. An insane point follows, both players scampering around the court before the Spaniard puts away a winner, only for Novak to save game point with a cross-court backhand. Two over-hit ground strokes see the Serb lose the game though. We're level again
RAFA TAKING HIS TIME
John McEnroe is getting increasingly irritated by how long Nadal is taking over his first serve, and he's got a point. The Spaniard has already picked up a time violation but it doesn't seem to be speeding him up - he's regularly going past the 25 second shot clock
DJOKOVIC 2-6 4-3 NADAL
Well, well, well. Djokovic looked to be motoring to a comfortable hold at 30-0, but a Nadal drop shot and Novak unforced error mean we're back at 30-30. Deuce, advantage Rafa and two game points for Nole follow before the Serb finally gets over the line. He leads in a set for the first time and roars out a 'COME ON' as he returns to his chair
McENROE IMPRESSED BY NADAL
The first set was something special from the Spaniard - and he earned high praise from one tennis legend

DJOKOVIC 2-6 3-3 NADAL
This is another seemingly never ending game. Nadal saves two break points, but then wastes umpteen chances to hold before getting a time violation as he takes longer and longer over his first serves. Djokovic forces another couple of break points that he fails to convert, but it's fifth time lucky as Rafa shanks wide. We're level again after a 19 (!) minute game
DJOKOVIC 2-6 2-3 NADAL
Well, this is getting very interesting. Djokovic is beginning to look much more comfortable, with McEnroe suggesting he might finally be accepting the crowd are against him. He holds to 15, twice coming into net and finding a lovely angle to hit the winner.

DJOKOVIC 2-6 1-3 NADAL
Hope for Djokovic? He gets the umpire out of his chair for a Nadal shot that is incorrectly called in. That brings up break point, and he wins the point when Rafa nets with a tame drop shot. He's still chasing this set, but stops the rot
ZVEREV IMPRESSED BY ALCARAZ
As we know, Alexander Zverev awaits the winner of this one after defeating Carlos Alcaraz earlier on. The German had some kind words to say to the Spanish wonder-kid afterwards

DJOKOVIC 2-6 0-3 NADAL
The crowd oooh and aaah as Djokovic makes a couple of uncharacteristic unforced errors off his backhand, the latter of which brings up. Novak is in a hole again a forehand from the base line goes into the net to set up break point once more, which Rafa converts as he chases down a drop shot. Double break in the set. This is barely believable.
DJOKOVIC 2-6 0-2 NADAL
The crowd are loving this. A stunning cross-court passing shot from Nadal in the opening point has them on their feet, and it's followed by an ace, a winner down the line and another unreturned serve as the Spaniard holds to love

DJOKOVIC 2-6 0-1 NADAL
Nadal's hitting has been brutal and Novak is struggling to go with him. The Spaniard earns six break points, two of them thanks to a couple of rasping forehand winners, but Djokovic digs himself out of a hole with some big first serves. Novak then nets with a backhand, and Rafa sets himself up for a put away volley to break for a third time. That was a 13 minute game - a gruelling one and devastating one for the Serb
LIVING UP TO THE BILLING
49 minutes for that first set, and there were some epic rallies in it. Nadal will only be too aware though that he won the first set when these two met here twelve months ago, but he still lost the match in four

DJOKOVIC 2-6 NADAL - SET NADAL!
Some better hitting from Djokovic, including a brilliant forehand winner down the line to bring up 15-30. A deft volley from Nadal then levels at 30-30, and he then wins the next two points, helped by a Novak unforced error, to seal the set. First blood to the Spaniard!
