SET! – HALEP 6-2 ANISIMOVA
Anisimova is caught out by a 77mph second serve that gets a major assist from the wind. It’s very timely for Halep as it leads her to a set point which she then converts with a more conventional delivery that her opponent can only return long. The Romanian takes charge with an impressive 30-minute opener.
HALEP 5-2 ANISIMOVA
Amanda produces one of the shots of the match so far with a disguised drop shot from deep that not even the rapid feet of Halep can chase down. The Romanian tries to press to deuce but lashes a backhand long and allows the American to ask the serve-out question.
HALEP 5-1 ANISIMOVA
Anisimova turns the screw as she begins to find her big-hitting return game. Halep shows her grit to resist two break points and continue her purple patch with a tough hold from deuce.
IS THE FIGHT BACK ON?
Rybakina appears to have found her groove now. She follows up a hard-fought hold to 30 by getting her reward for some bold, attacking tennis. She breaks to 15 with a forehand volley and leads 2-0 at the start of Set 2.

BREAK! – HALEP 4-1 ANISIMOVA
This is vintage Halep. The Romanian secures the double break with another no-nonsense return game. She’s made just one unforced error so far this afternoon while her opponent has leaked seven.

HALEP 3-1 ANISIMOVA
The former champion has looked very sharp so far this year and she continues her habit of finding her best form on the big points. At 30-30 she moves up a notch and reels off the next two points to consolidate.

BREAK! – HALEP 2-1 ANISIMOVA
Ouch! Anisimova motors into a 30-0 lead but Halep begins to repel her powerhouse attack and turn the tide. The Romanian works her way to the first break point of the match and Amanda can’t stand firm as an unforced error off the forehand sees Simona strike first blood.
HALEP 1-1 ANISIMOVA
Simona responds with an equally strong hold to 15.
HALEP 0-1 ANISIMOVA
That’s an emphatic start and a good way to lay down the early marker as the 20-year-old American powers to a love hold.
TOMLJANOVIC CHANNELLING HER INNER DJOKOVIC
The Aussie's defence has been insane so far. She almost does the splits reaching a blockbusting forehand to somehow dig out a winning pass on the stretch. It's deja vu for Elena just moments later as Tomljanovic unleashes another beauty of a pass to claim an impressive hold and move within a game of the set at 5-3.
RYBAKINA PLAYING CATCH UP
Elena's big serve is beginning to suggest it can do more damage. A pair of aces are the basis for a dominant hold to love as she stays in touch but remains 4-3 down on the scoreboard.

COMING UP LATER ON COURT ONE
Eurosport expert Mats Wilander has given Nick Kyrgios' opponents at Wimbledon some very clear advice: do not care about his antics or even look at him.
Kyrgios and Garin follow Tomljanovic v Rybakina.

TOMLJANOVIC TAKE CHARGE EARLY ON
The Aussie manages to hang around long enough to make Elena wobble out of sync on serve. The No.17 seed manages to swat away a first break point but despite backing up a humongous serve with a thumping close-range forehand, it is well anticipated by Ajla, who conjures up a tricky lob that Rybakina can’t quite reach to put back in court.
Tomljanovic then consolidates the break with a hold to 30 to claim a 3-1 lead.
AN EYE-CATCHING POWER TUSSLE
Rybakina threatens with a ferocious mid-court forehand but Tomljanovic dances to her right before arcing a lovely crosscourt pass that licks the outside of the line. The Aussie doesn’t look back from there and swaggers through an excellent opening service game to level at 1-1.
COURT ONE ACTION UNDERWAY
The last-eight clash between Rybakina and Tomljanovic has just started with the Kazakhstan star showcasing her powerhouse game, which is perfect for grass, with a confident hold to 30.
