Gnabry from distance! This time it's the former Arsenal man who takes aim from distance, but Barkas was never going to be beaten by that effort. Gnabry drags it well wide.

Lewandowski header! The Polish striker has his first sighter of goal of the night, but there was no real chance of him finding the net. It lacked the power to beat Barkas in goal.

Cross into the six yard box! That was a wonderful delivery from Gnabry, who got to the byline and swept a ball into the danger area. But Robben didn't gamble and there was nobody on the end of it.

It feels like this Bayern Munich team are in the midst of a transition, but that could be said for a number of the top teams in the Champions League this season. So they might still be contenders.

Counter attack for AEK! That was a half chance for the hosts to get in behind, but Klonaridis' pass is intercepted before it could reach Ponce, who was making the run towards goal.

After a bright start by the home side, the dynamic of the match has been established and now it's Bayern Munich who are dictating the play from the middle of the pitch.

Part of the problem for Bayern Munich this season has been the age of their squad. They are, in fact, the oldest side in the Bundesliga this season, with an average age of 28!

Bayern Munich haven't been terrible in the Champions League so far this season, winning one and drawing one, but a defeat tonight would change the look of the group.
