Basically, Spurs are without their best attackers and also look knackered; Ajax are great when allowed to play, but less so when not. The second leg should be a belter.

Having Son back for the second leg will make a huge difference for Spurs, who've been toothless tonight. Ajax could've finished this in the first half, but will delighted with this result.

Tadic shields the ball from Foyth and waits for the foul; Foyth duly obliges. Clever.

Onana makes himself a cuppa, watches Ben Hur and sings Shine On You Crazy Diamon before taking a goalkick. It really is about time the clock was stopped every time the ball goes out of play because this is a joke.

Foyth crosses towards Alli at the back post and Onana doesn't come, so when Llorente goes up, Blind has to act when he wasn't expecting to. Evneutally, Ahax get it clear.

Huntelaar replaces Ziyech - that's a decent chance, because Ajax can play off him, and if a chance drops, there's a good chance he'll sort it.

Ajax are playing Willem II in the cup final on Sunday, so will have to go for that. Spurs will fancy themselves at 0-1.

Spurs are looking for the big finish, but Ajax are starting to threaten on the break, and are picking the ball up outside the box, rather than inside it - as was the case for much of the second half.

Ajax aren't good at defending high balls, but they are good at closing space - as you'd expect with centre-backs like Blind and De Ligt, who read and organise the game so well.

Eriksen clips it in, and Alderweireld loops a header onto the roof of the net.

Moura moves the ball from foot to foot and Ziyech can't be having it, running into him. Free-kick Spurs, right of centre, but 35 yards out - just too far for a shot.

This has been a game of few chances, but space is opening up in midfield now - I'd not be surprised to see one more goal.

Double change for Spurs, who have no options so swap full-backs: Davies and Foyth replace Rose and Trippier.

Aaaargh! Mazraoui plays a lovely one-two with Veltman and holds of Eriksen, taking a ride on his shoulder. He squares for Tadic, who might shoot but finds Neres outside him ... and he cracks an effort that skips off the turn and hits the far post! That was the tie!

Onana is taking a full historical epoch over every goalkick. I've no idea how he's avoided a booking to this point.

Lovely touch by Llorente, on the stretch to find Erikson, who might shoot but instead waits for Rose, then rolls him in. But the ball isn't perfect, a little close to the defender, and Veltman does really well to block it behind. The corner comes to nothing.

Alli gets involved in minor shoving with Neres, but nothing comes of it.
