Barcelona tied Pep Guardiola's unbeaten record of 28 matches with the win over Levante at the weekend. So tonight could see them pass that landmark. That's why this matters to them.

Of course, there is something of a record on the line for Barcelona tonight. They have now gone 28 games without suffering defeat. Enrique will be keen to keep that streak going.

This has been a rather even game so far. Barcelona have perhaps had more assurance about them in the centre of the pitch, but in the final third both teams have had their chances.

Speculation in the Spanish press has already started over who could take over from Neville should he be sacked. The prime candidate is Rafa Benitez following his Real Madrid sacking.

Valencia have at least shown some intent in the final third when they have made it that far. But they just don't have the finishing touch in the box. That sums up their display so far.

GOAL-SAVING TACKLE FROM MATHIEU! Piatti was clean in on goal and looked to square a pass for an unmarked teammate, but Mathieu made the clearance on the slide.

MUNIR DRIBBLES THROUGH THE DEFENCE! The youngster does brilliantly to beat three players on the edge of the box, but he angles his shot over the bar. Wonderful skill.

Communication has actually been an interesting aspect of Nevile's struggle at Valencia. He says the pre-game talk hasn't been an issue, but finds it difficult at half-time when he only has five minutes or so.

Neville is already looking rather pained on the touchline. He's waving his arms about and is gesturing instructions to his players. Do those on the pitch really understand him?

This is a chance for Vidal to show what he can do in his preferred position. He has had to make do with a role as a winger since the turn of the new year, but he's a full-back tonight.

Another missed chance for Valencia. Mina and Negredo get in each other's way at the back from a set piece and the opportunity is gone. The delivery was poor into the area, anyway.

That was a little risky! Ter Stegen takes a backpass, takes a risk on the ball, but gets away with it. The German goalkeeper doesn't really need to do things like that.
