McGinn is back on the pitch and looks to be fine to continue. That's a relief for Clarke. The midfielder has been in excellent form for Aston Villa over the past few weeks.

McGinn down! This will be a worry for Clarke and Aston Villa. McGinn has gone down and there was no contact with a Russian player. The medical treatment are looking at him now.

Dyzuba has scored six goals in his last five appearances for Russia and there's no doubt that he is the target for the home side with the crosses into the Scotland penalty box.

Burke's final ball has to be better than that. He had options on both sides as he burst through the Russian midfield, but he plays his pass straight to an opponent. He'll be disappointed with that.

Freekick over! Fleck gave away a freekick right on the edge of his own box. Golovin attempted the cheeky chip over the wall, but it didn't come down quickly enough and flashes over.

Clarke will be relatively pleased with what he has seen from his team in this first half so far, but Scotland must do more to pose a threat at the attacking end of the pitch. Toothless.

Scotland were in behind! That's the second time that Snodgrass has had the chance to really cut through the Russian defence, but he is stopped before he could find Fraser who was free!

Here's a strange one for you - Belgium are playing San Marino in another game in this group this evening and they have yet to make the breakthrough. It's still 0-0 in Brussels.

Burke is back on the pitch and that will be a relief for Clarke because Scotland's whole game plan seems to be focused on getting the ball in behind for the Alaves forward to chase.

Burke injury? This could be a problem for Clarke. Burke seems to have hurt his shoulder landing on the ground after an aerial challenge. Scotland don't really have another option up front.

Scotland are getting pegged deeper and deeper inside their own half here and that is making it much more difficult for them to hit out on the counter attack through the pace of Burke.

Palmer tries to play the ball forward for Burke, but it was a very poor pass and the Russian defence had no problems in picking it off. The ball has to be much better than that.

Shot blocked! It's another opportunity for Ionov in a dangerous position, but this time his low shot at the back post is blocked by Robertson before it could present Marshall with a test.

Cleared by Palmer! Dzyuba's lay-off set up Ionov who in turn played the ball out to Fernandes. He got the low cross through the legs of Robertson, but the scrambled clearance was made.

Fernandes is such an effective outlet for Russia down the right side. He showed that during the World Cup. At times he essentially plays as a right-sided forward, he's that high.

There is a sense that Russia are cranking up the pressure on Scotland after a fairly even opening 20 minutes. Robertson blocks a Dzyuba cross into the middle. Corner comes to nothing.

A few moments ago, Robertson backed into Fernandes to prevent the Russian right back from getting a clear header on goal. Scotland need to be careful with crosses into their box.
