Sporting Gijon have barely had a touch of the ball in this first half. They haven't shown any intenton of pressing high up the field, and so Barca are having it all their own way.

Enrique has rested a number of players for this match tonight and so far the decision looks to have paid off. They need freshness and sharpness for games coming up soon.

Of course, Real Madrid held a one-point lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga before kick off this evening. Real Madrid face Las Palmas later tonight. The title race is on.

There's just absolutely no pressing from Sporting Gijon. We're still in the early throws of this match and they already look to have given up somewhat. This could be a long one.

Neymar has been at the centre of everything for Barcelona so far. He's the one demanding the ball and drifting along the edge of the box to cause Gijon all sorts of problems.

This has been far too easy for Barcelona in these opening exchanges. There's no pressure being applied when they have the ball, with the hosts just walking through their defence.

Replays show that it was actually an own goal, with Suarez's shot turned into his own net by Rodriguez. The effort from the Barcelona striker wasn't actually finding the net.

The defensive line from Sporting Gijon for that goal was atrocious. Messi was at least two yards onside when the pass was played over the top. Not good enough. Must be tighter.
