Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Manchester City's crucial trip to Burnley in the Premier League. Even at this stage of the season, this is a must-win encounter for City, having lost more ground on leaders Liverpool at the weekend. Burnley are not in good form, either, having lost four of the last six. Turf Moor, though, represents a daunting trip for anyone, and given City's recent jitters, it looks set to be a tough battle. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

City need a second. They are well on top here, and must make it count, given their defensive struggles of late...

Better from Burnley as Dwight McNeil gets onto the ball and seeks Cork around the back of Walker but the England full-back flicks it out for a corner.

Life on the road.

Walker drills another cross into the middle but it is cleared. City all over Burnley here.

WHAT A SAVE! Brilliant centre from De Bruyne, Sterling looks certain to score, but Pope hangs out a leg to make the block from point-blank range.

City are happy to keep possession here. Burnley are well second best.

It's all getting a little tasty. James Tarkowski was entitled to commit to a tackle on David Silva, but the Spaniard does not like it one bit.

It really was...

Thankfully for City, De Bruyne seems fine to continue.

There was concern in the build-up for De Bruyne who stayed down after a coming together, but City played on, David Silva fed it wide for Jesus, who waited for his moment, before curling a sublime effort past the despairing dive of Pope. Super goal.

Sterling looks to jink inside, but again there is a Burnley defender in the way. A goal is coming, surely...

The latter is needed.

Burnley are starting to press now. Angelino looks like he is the target.

Sterling has seen very little of the ball but here he shows real pace and intent to cut inside the Burnley penalty area on the left, forcing Ben Mee into an important block.

Early booking here for Bernardo Silva for a cynical foul. His third caution of the season.

Again De Bruyne in the thick of it, with his first-time cross cleared.
12'
Great burst forward from De Bruyne, but his low drilled strike is straight at Nick Pope in the Burnley goal.

Raheem Sterling threads it through for Angelino, but Aaron Lennon does well to make the tackle.

City well on top at the moment as Kyle Walker whips in a cross that is cleared.

NO GOAL! Well-worked corner picks out Angelino, who lashes a volley for goal, Jesus gets a touch, the ball finds the net, but Jesus is adjudged to be offside. Replays show it was the correct call.
