In commentary, they reckon that with that save, Pope redeemed the third-minute error which effectively put his team out of the game as soon as it started. Alright lads.

Uh-oh, here come City again, Sterling latches onto a terrrific ball stroked in behind by Gundogan biandscurries away. He's got a man to his right and might present him with a tap-in, but instead drives a nondescript shot into Pope's studs. He's got to be the worst finisher of those who score as frequently as he does.
48'
Gundogan intercepts a loose ball from Westwood and panels a shot a foot over the near angle.
47'
And some more possession.
46'
City enjoy some possession.

City have been and are much too good for Burnley. It really is that simple.

Half-time: Burnley 0-2 Man City

There'll be one additional minute.

Burnley win a free-kick just outside the box, but McNeill curls onto Rodri's head and it's cleared. At the same time, Laporte catches Tarkowski with a flailing arm, but not on purpose.

Westwood sticks a very nice first-time ball in behind for Vydra, who slides a finish wide before the flag goes up to save him then, from the goalkick, Mahrez controls gorgeously on the outside of his left boot, teeing up Cancelo whose shot is straight at Pope.

GOAL! Burnley 0-2 Man City (Sterling) Thank you and goodnight. Cancelo and Mahrez knock it about outside the box before the latter feeds into space for Gundogan, whose cross is a beauty, hard and fast, and even Sterling can't miss from under the bar. This is over.
37'
I'm surprised by how many high balls and crosses City have tried tonight, and Gundogan goes for another, easily caught by Pope with no one anywhere near him.
36'
I was just marvelling at this myself.
35'
Rodri lofts one over the top for Mahrez but Pieters does just enough, stretching backwards to head behind. Pope catches the resultant corner.
34'
Mahrez tosses a cross into the box but Pope paws away from Jesus, making it look much more difficult than it should've been.
32'
Absolute sake.
30'
Dias finds Mahrez with a very cute pass, but when he finds Rodrid the cross is defended well.

Elsewhere...
28'
City counter and Sterling finds a good ball into the box, picking out Mahrez on its right-hand side. But he's lost in the supermarket, unable to decide which option to pick until his only option is a shot which is blocked at source.
28'
Burnley work space for Pieters, whose cross is miserable and straight to Gundogan.
