McNeill gets a bit of space down the left and sticks a booming cross to the back post. Ederson doesn't fancy coming but someone, Stones I think, beats Vydra in the air, and there's no midfielder coming to collect the second ball.

In fairness to Burnley, City haven't created much apart from the goal, which they were handed.

Pope is having a shocker here! Stones hammers long and Sterling takes advantage of Tarkowski's misjudgment, so Pope rushes out with no chance of reaching the ball first. Sterling then checks inside him, but Pope manages a poke with his trailing leg and escapes.

McNeill's delivery is decent, but a City head is up first at the back post.

Pope tries a couple of long skelps and neither achieve much, but then Vydra scavenges down the right and wins a corner. Burnley will have worked hard on these, and in the circumstances will consider this a chance.

Burnley will be desperate to get to 70 minutes still at 0-1. But even if they do, chances are they'll be too bushed to do anything other than kick back and watch Real Housewives. Of Potomac, if they've any sense.

Sterling turns up in centrefield and spreads the ball right; it works its way left, then comes into the box for Pieters to head clear, then Mee blocks Gundogan's shot.

Gundogan finds Bernardo, whose low cross is straight at Tarkowski and he clears.

Burnley are struggling without an out-ball - Wood and Barnes don't have lots of pace or flair, but boot it at them and there's a fair chance it sticks. I'm not sure how they get around this and by the looks of things, neither are they.

Rodriguez chases a hump downfield with Dias for company, and the ball runs behind for a goalkick.

It's attack against defence at the moment, which isn't terrible for Burnley - both Mee and Tarkowski know how to handle a rearguard. But they're not showing many signs of knowing how to attack.

Bernardo drives forward and finds Mahrez, who crosses directly onto Ben Mee's bonce.
