When they come forward Algeria are still keeping two strikers up, with Soudani and Slimani making runs into the channels and looking to get in behind the German back four.

Halilhodzic also has options on the bench. If he wants to give his side more control in the centre of the pitch then perhaps Bentaleb is the man to bring on. He's been quite good at this World Cup.

We're getting to the point of the game where both managers will be thinking about making changes off the bench. Who will Low be considering? Could be bring on Draxler for the final 30 minutes?

Algeria are sinking deeper and deeper as Schurrle gives them an option getting in behind the opposition defence. The pressure is just starting to mount on the African side. How long can they hold out for?

Schurrle cuts inside off the right side and slashes a shot with his left foot well wide of the target. That was a waste from he Chelsea man. He should have crossed it into the penalty area.

The game might have lost some of its tempo but it's stillvery stretched and now we're starting to see Germany play on the counter attack more and more. Even on the ball they're trying to draw Algeria out.

Some of the ferocious intensity might have dropped out of Algeria's game, but whenever they get the ball they still have numbers in attack on the break. Germany are playing with fire.

Finger tip save from M'Bohli! Lahm winds up an effort from the edge of the box, with the ball set to find the top corner of the Algerian net, but the keeper tips it round the post. Fantastic agility!

Having said that, Germany are enjoying more time and space in the centre of midfield. Algeria's pressing game is just starting to drop off. Perhaps it's time for a few changes from Halilhodzic?

Germany must find a way to get Ozil involved in the game more. He's been on the fringes of the play, and seems to be suffering from a lack of a designated number nine to play the ball to.

And Algeria come forward again on the break, with their counter attack creating a five on three situation. But Soudani takes to long to make his move and Mustafi comes across to block his effort from a tight angle.

Algeria surge forward on the counter attack and win a corner, with the delivery almost dropped by Neuer. But the German keeper makes amends by releasing Schurrle with an 60 yard pass. Halliche makes a last ditch tackle to prevent him from going through on goal.

And now Mustafi gets up high from the resulting corner to head at the goal, but it's straight at M'Bohli. Two good chances for Germany in as many minutes.

Just as Low probably imagined it, Schurrle gets in behind the back four and gets a shot away at goal. But the Chelsea player's shot is deflected high and inches wide of the target. Very close to an opener.

That change means that Germany will have more scope to get in behind the Algerian back four, which was a problem in the first half. Schurrle will make those runs, whereas Gotze wasn't.
