DJOKOVIC 6-6 FEDERER - 2-4 in the TIE BREAK! A stray Djokovic backhand and a Swiss ace put Federer 3-0 up early on. Nole hits back with two well constructed points on serve but then sears a tame shot into the net ahead of the changeover.

DJOKOVIC 6-6 FEDERER - TIE BREAK! Audacious from Federer. The Swiss plays a sublime disguised drop shot that clips the net and drops over at 30-15. The seven-time champion drills the next point long but secures a TB when Djoker flashes a shot into the net.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-5 FEDERER - The top seed sees a serve called out at 40-30 that was actually in. Djoker doesn't challenge and Federer forces deuce with a brilliant winner down the line. It could well have been a talking point if Djokovic had dropped serve, but the 27-year-old produces two big forehands to hold. Federer will now serve to try and take it to a tie break.
-
DJOKOVIC 5-5 FEDERER - It's great defence from Federer as we are treated to a couple of tense rallies on his way to an important hold. A cushioned volley creates an opening for Djoker but Fed-Ex uses slice and an aggressive backhand to turn a 15-30 deficit in to a 40-30 lead. A wayward attempt at a volleyed winner extends the game to deuce before an absorbing rally ends with the Swiss Maestro finally seeing off some great legwork from Djoker to tuck away another volley at the net. A big serve then clinches the game for Roger who comes through a big test.
-
DJOKOVIC 5-4 FEDERER - The first sign of trouble on the Djokovic serve is self inflicted as the Serbinator blazes a forehand long when he had all day to pick his spot. The top seed shrugs it off and delivers two big serves to nudge himself in front at 40-30. An ace secures the hold, though replays showed it was out and Federer didn't challenge, so the Serb got away with it. A bit of pressure on the Fed-Ex serve now to stay in the opening set.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-4 FEDERER - It's not straight forward for Federer but once more he sees off a few nervy moments to hold. A lovely dipping forehand leaves Djokovic stranded and Fed-Ex backs it up with a rasping ace. The Serb hits back with a well-executed crosscourt winner with the Swiss caught on his heels trying to get to the net. Nole stays in it at 40-30 and forces Fed to sear a forehand well wide to tie it at deuce, but the number four seed responds with a big serve and a short forehand winner that creep over the net to give Nole no chance.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-3 FEDERER - The world number two blots his copybook with a double fault at 40-0 but responds with a backhand down the line that wrong-foots Federer who can only lash his reaction shot way beyond the baseline.
-
DJOKOVIC 3-3 FEDERER - The Swiss comes through with a big serve at 40-30 that Djokovic can only stab towards the net. There are signs Nole is etching away at the Fed-Ex serve with a third return winner of the contest one of the high points of the game.
-
DJOKOVIC 3-2 FEDERER - The top seed's serve is a well-oiled machine at present and he lashes down an ace on his way to another perfect game. A pair of crashing winners when he does have to engage in a brief rally give Federer no chance. The Serb seems desperate to end a run of five defeats in his previous six GS finals.
-
DJOKOVIC 2-2 FEDERER - The seven-time champion is charging into the net at every opportunity. It's causing Nole to try and pull off some big winners. A lob attempt almost catches the Swiss out but he rises majestically to despatch an angled overhead and goes on to hold to 15 when Djokovic sears a crosscourt attempt just wide.
-
DJOKOVIC 2-1 FEDERER - A magnificent service game from Djokovic. The Serb has Federer scurrying from side to side and forces a forehand error from the Swiss Maestro to seal it to love. This is shaping up very nicely indeed.

DJOKOVIC 1-1 FEDERER - The Swiss makes a confident start but allows Djokovic back in with a weak volley the Serb despatches with venom. An absorbing rally sees Fed-Ex lose the initiative at the net when he struggles to return a lob and Djoker turns up the heat with his own drop volley to level at 30-30. The Serbinator digs in to tie at deuce but Federer steps up a gear with a wide serve and crosscourt forehand before Djokovic hammers a return into the net.
-
DJOKOVIC 1-0 FEDERER - Djoker roars into a 30-0 lead before Fed shows his intention to get into the net as often as possible with a deft volley. A stray backhand puts Nole back in control before the Serb sizzles a crosscourt winner to get off to a solid start.

DJOKOVIC'S ROAD TO THE FINAL: It's been a rollercoaster ride for Nole who has combined scintillating shot-making with gritty tennis. A crushing success over Andrey Golubev was followed by a mini blip against Radek Stepanek who won a third-set tie break before going down in four. Gilles Simon and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga were despatched in straight sets before the Serbinator was forced to come from 2-1 down to oust Marin Cilic in five sets. A semi-final classic with Grigor Dimitrov took a lot out of the top seed, but he eventually prevailed in four sets - winning two TBs - to set up this encounter with Fed-Ex.

FEDERER'S ROAD TO THE FINAL: Federer cruised through his first four matches, winning in straight sets against Paolo Lorenzi, Gilles Muller, Santiago Giraldo and Tommy Robredo. A last eight meeting with his compatriot, Stanislas Wawrinka provided a trickier proposition but he recovered from losing the first set to edge a second-set tie break and roar through in four. The Swiss then made short work of the big-serving Canadian, Milos Raonic to close to within one match of a record-breaking eighth SW19 title.

SLAM-TO-SLAM: Federer boasts 17 Grand Slam titles to Djokovic's six. The Swiss has won seven in SW19 while the Serb has one. A victory today would see Fed-Ex move clear on his own with eight, edging past Pete Sampras and William Renshaw who also have seven to their name.

Djokovic is all too aware of the threat the Swiss poses on grass having lost to the seven-time champion in the last four just two years ago. The Serb said: "We have played many matches on many occasions, but only once on grass. Most of the matches went the distance, so I am going to be physically ready and fit to go the distance. The key will be to try not to allow him to dictate too much because he likes to be very aggressive. He likes to come to the net and I'm going to have to be able to get as many returns back in the court as possible and stay close to the lines."

Federer believes he must deploy an offensive game-plan to overcome the top seed. He said: "It's really important for me to stay aggressive against him, and especially here at Wimbledon. Novak can hurt you down the line or cross-court on both sides. His forehand, his serve, his movement clearly is what stands out the most at the moment. He's really been able to improve that and make it rock solid."
